This is my second visit to the restaurant for dinner. Both of my visits satisfied me well. The large variety of food, friendly... staff and fast service can easily convince you for the second visit to the Filet Steak and Seafood Restsurant. I especiallyliked the grilled "Seafood Platter". The food was fantastic. We had the cajun pasta seafood dish. The server (Kaci) we had was NOT good. The table we sat at at... first was very cold. She saw that we were cold and never offered us another table. The people at the table next to us saidthey got our table initially and moved to the table they were at because of the cold a/c blowing on them. We told the hostesswe really needed to move to another table. She said to move to the table behind us. I don't know if this upset our waitress, but when my credit card bill came she had altered the amount we had put down for her tip as well as the total. The 5's weremade into 8's. Our advice is to look at your credit card bill closely...or maybe just pay cash. Its too bad because we reallyliked the area and our food was delish. Read more

We found the food to be very good. I had the tips and they were delicious. Hubby ordered the rib eye and got a sirloin cut... instead and it was pricey. Although it was good, it wasn't extraordinary, which the 42 dollar pricetag demands. The servicewas great. Disappointed they didn't offer any military discount. Read more

This is a good restaurant to mix up the usual rotation of places in the area. The food quality is not as good as I would have... hoped, but I would still give it another try. I would recommend any of the steaks as an entree and the nachos as an appetizer. There is not very much room inside the restaurant, but they have crammed a lot of tables inside though. This makes it difficultto navigate and also very loud. Read more

My family and I were at Lake Oconee/Greensboro area for 5 nights and tried number of local restaurants. My rating is based on... the restaurants we tried in the area. Follow me to see my other reviews. We wanted to splurge and have a nice steak dinner.Couldn't afford the steakhouse at the Ritz, so we settled at Filet Steak and Seafood. It's at the strip mall, and theydefinitely squeezed in as many tables as possible. Seafood dip was probably the best thing we ordered. Porterhouse $40 came outa bit overcooked and dry (Ordered medium temperature), but it does come with 2 sides. The panko chicken on their specialty menuwas just okay, and it didn't come with a separate side. Spicy seafood Cajun pasta was nothing special. Ribs were just okay. Read more

We had a great meal at Filet! The service was great, and the entire staff was very attentive. The host, manager, owner, and wait... staff all checked-in on us multiple times to make sure everything was to our liking. We started off sharing the seafood bisqueand fried cheese. The bisque was creamy and rich, without losing the flavor of the sea. It was a nice balance. The fried cheesecame out golden, brown, and delicious. The chicken panko with gnocchi was wonderful. The chicken had a great crunch and thegnocchi were little, delicate pillow dumplings. The stuffed filet with mushroom risotto was equally delicious. The steak wasexpertly prepared to a perfect medium-rare. The boursin stuffing was a rich compliment to the lean cut of meat. The risotto wascreamy, and did not lack in earthy mushroom umami. A great meal all-around! Read more

We liked the food. The flavors in my Cajun pasta were great, although not very spicy, and my wife?s salmon over a bed of white... beans and onions was fabulous. We sat at the high tops because there weren?t any open tables. The service was good although alittle slow. The issue was it was very noisy, especially with the bar tender dropping glass bottles into the trash thatcontained other bottles. Decor was interesting with placards with cute sayings all over the place. Price was appropriate atabout $30 each with a couple of drinks. Overall nice but would hold off for a table or booth.
