Stopped in on a Friday night. Which is fish fry night. I?ve been there several times but never on a Friday night. Fridays are... completely different for dining. We attempted to go to a table to sit and order our food. We were told in a very rude way thatyou can?t just go sit at a table on Friday night. They have some weird number system that they use for that specific night butthe rude sweaty bartender couldn?t be bothered to explain how it worked. So as others entered, they got numbers and orderedtheir food before us. I said something to the bartender about how I thought it was weird and she said something like ?we?vebeen doing it like ?this? for 42 years?. Nothing like making you feel unwelcome with her rudeness. ???? The funny thing aboutthe whole experience is that when our food was finally ready, we were taken to the same table we attempted to sit at when wefirst arrived. The food is good and the portions are huge but the extremely rude bartender ruined my experience. It?ll be a longwhile before I go back and I live just down the street. Read more
We hadn't been to The Settlement for years. The opportunity came up to go there. The food is excellent. Good portion sizes. My... granddaughter ordered fries and the waitress asked if we wanted to split the order between us. I said yes. My granddaughter wasconfused. When the food arrived she saw how many fries were there and agreed that it was a large amount. Think basket full. Bythe way, Friday night has fish fry. You think a single order would be enough definitely. If you order double or triple orderyou're either taking it home or you planned on sharing it. Overall, I was impressed yet again. This place has been in businessfor decades. There is a reason for it. The food was good then. Forty years after first experiencing The Settlement, the food isstill great. Read more
The food was good. But we felt like we were inconvenienceing them. They were very gruff with us throughout our visit. We had... 6 people at our table and there were hardly anyone else in there. It took 10 minutes to get someone to come over to take ourorders. One of the ladies was not even helping and was sitting at the bar while I was looking for help. She saw me searchingfor someone but did not volunteer. Overall, not a good experience. Read more
Got the combo platter and it was all worth it! The staff was nice and the food was worth every penny. Will definitely be back!
They have a Saturday Burger special that we go for and fries real reasonable dine-in only. I had revisited them on a Saturday... it was raining. I ordered cheese curds, I laid my pickle spear on the basket to give reference how generous they were withcheese curds. Read more
