My family and I had a great meal here. The service was friendly (our waitress Patricia was the biggest sweet heart), the food... was great (PS make sure to order the cheese curds!! ????) and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I read some of the bad reviewsa couple weeks ago about Poke the Bear and I almost didn't eat here because of all the bad vibes on google. As someone who has worked in the industry for 18 years I can say that this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a... restaurant. I was hesitant leaving such a harsh review as I know it is a relatively new restaurant. The service was okay. Thesteak frittes... not sure if it is the quality of the steak or the way it's cooked but it was cooked very unevenly. I hadordered it med rare. It was very chewy and a little fatty. It just seemed microwaved and then seared. It may not have been butthat's what it tasted like. When I politely told the waiter, he was accommodating and spoke with the cook who offered another. Iwas over halfway through my meal at this point so I told him I appreciated it but it was pointless. I thanked him for beingaccommodating. Following this, we heard A LOT of slamming around in the kitchen. Not sure if it's a coincidence but it was loudas we were seated right by the kitchen. The drinks were also terrible. We couldn't even choke them down. When I asked the bartendera bout the creme de blackberry in the drink I wanted to order, she told me to ask my SERVER?? Anyway, this is actually thefirst time I have ever left a bad review of any sort so our experience, in fact, was that bad. The person running our food waspretty unfriendly and cut me off when my meal came without the 2 sauces I had asked for and stated to tell my server. This wasodd since she was running the food. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. The aesthetic is confusing with lockers on the wall and plush leather accents, am... I eating in a gym changing room located in a cigar lounge? The first of 3 people who came to our table offered water and when wehad a question about a drink she said "ask your waiter". Fair enough but come to find out she was the bartender and could havesimply gave an answer instead of seeming rude. When our server did show up, despite the lack of eye contact, he was veryaccommodating and did seem busy as I didn't see anyone else serving and it took him a while to make it to our table. The 3rdperson to show up was running our food to the table, brought us another salad which we already had and when we were missing ouradditional sauces we ordered just walked away while being told they are missing (just seems like a lack of communication in therestaurant). Our server quick fixed this situation when he came to the table but the steak was terrible and we could not evensip on the "cocktails" as they were that bad. I only stopped in here due to the fact I was staying at the hotel. I order the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Which was not bad... definitely crispy fresh sandwich. Stayed to watch the Vikings game with some of my coworkers and that’s when the service wentdown hill. To be fair they close at 8pm on Monday which no one was aware. This is the second time we have been here. The food choices are very limited and the food isn't the best for the price.... Unfortunately, this time my food allergy was ignored even though i was told they could accommodate me. I was served saladdressing that had dairy in it. The waiter acknowledged the mistake immediately, but i had already eaten some of it. My meal wastaken off the bill, but it doesn't change the results or make up for the fact that food allergies/intolerances are serious.Ruined my weekend trip with my hubby. Read more
