We went for Friday Fish. The perch plate is one of the best in the area. Big pieces about 4 or 5 pieces per plate. Tasty... breading on them too. Our son had the fettuccine Alfredo. Alfredo Sauce was from scratch & delicious. But Pasta is from a box.Our old fashions were decent and the Atmosphere is wonderful. Like a big log cabin! service was friendly and prompt. But Pricesare a bit steep for the food quality in my opinion. If it?s not all gourmet/from scratch i just don?t think you should chargethose prices ??????? Our waitress was friendly and prompt. The food was marginal. Be careful if you're looking for vegetarian options; you're pretty... much limited to certain salads and sides, and when I asked about vegan options, our waitress proceeded to tell me about variouschicken options, admitting that she wasn't too up on vegan options. They really do need at least a couple vegan options on theirmenu. They have a modest selection of drinks, including some good bourbons. Read more
This place is very Wisconsin! Lots of wood and brown and a very cozy feel. Wide ranging menu. We went with the chimichanga and... the chicken pesto gnocchi, which were both good. Our waitress was efficient and sweet. The menu had so many good choices. It was our first cheese curd experience and WOW, yum. I... mentioned that we were sharing the spinach salad and she split it on to two plates without being asked. The chicken dumplingsoup was perfect. Finally, both our sandwiches were beyond good: spinach chicken wrap and perch on rye.
