Reviews for Kroll's East in Green Bay, WI
Disappointed. We hadn't been to Kroll?s East in over 10 years. We stopped in for a quick dinner. Don?t expect the same menu as... Kroll?s West. Beer was expired (June 2022) and manager didn?t seem to care, just blamed it on rotating the basement stock. Iordered a drink and I was charged for a $7 double (didn?t order a double). Sandwich was good and burger was good. Onion ringscame out cold and breading seemed freezer burned (flakes off). Staff seemed burned out and didn?t really care. Won?t return. Read more
Cool spot. Really takes you back. The one time I visited this location it was a very busy Friday evening, however I felt at the... time we were there which was 8pm we'd have been in and out in no time. But with a ton of call in/take out orders and being shortstaffed(I assumed) in the kitchen, the wait for our food bordered an hour. The food was really good, and all of the staff weencountered were very nice, but I don't know that I'd wait that long again for greasy burgers and fried foods. Read more
Old family favorite. Good food. Still not ok that wait staff have to share tips. Lady who took the order was wonderful,... person who delivered it...not so much. Therefore, imo, the one server deserves more than a standard tip but the second onedidn't even deserve the standard 15%. This makes it hard to tip. Typically, we do far beyond the standard everywhere we go,but not here....which only hurts the good wait staff unfortunately. Read more
Well, this IS the place to go for great burgers and chili! THEE place. Trust me ????
I went there three times ion the past two weeks to check this place out. The first two times I only had soup. Both times it... was very good. Today, I went there with my daughter. She ordered a burger, I ordered their Nacho special. My daughter did notfinish her burger. It had a very tiny thin burger patty. It was all bun. My nachos were completely mediocre. Plus, it isreally annoying to have the server standing over you, collecting payment immediately after she puts the food on the table. Shestands over you while you are entering your tip on the credit card slip. Who does that? They do and it is what they do. Ionly recommend going there for soup. Read more
Kroll's East is a bit of a time capsule that has multiple dining spaces with limitless seating. It is undoubtedly a... neighborhood institution that all of the locals know about. The burgers have thin old timey 1/4 pound patties, that are stilljuicy somehow and have a bit of char flavor. They come wrapped, so they don't photograph very well, but it's obvious that theyare melded together with buttery goodness. They are all cooked to medium doneness due to their slim profile. We really enjoyedthe garlic cheese curd cubes. Get the larger portion for sure. The fries are big and crispy coated as are the homemade onionrings. The staff is friendly and helpful. Every table booth has a button to press when you are ready to order. It's kind oflike drive in food, more than it is bar food, but there is a super cool, semi deco, bar dining area with a full bar too. Theplace could use some freshening up, I guess, but the booths and throw back elements are totally awesome. They have a big driveup business on one side, but to dine in, go around to the back entrance door. Read more
This place is a time machine. Pass through the threshold and you?ve entered 1967. The butter burgers are juicy, the onion rings... are out of this world, and the Blatz is ice cold. ?Okay maybe it was Miller Lite. Either way this place is a gem, and clearly alocal favorite which has remained unchanged since Vince Lombardi used to stop in after practice. Read more
