Great meal tonight. We spoke with John the owner and he was very nice. He spoke of his decades in the restaurant and how he... doesn?t want to just sit at home. It?s clear he does this because it?s what he loves. Two of us ordered the pork gyro, my wifehad a shrimp plate and my mom had a sirloin plate. Our son was given a complimentary bowl of house made potato chips which werevery good (yes I stole a few!). Everyone liked their food and we had some Greek beers to wash it all down. The food wasn?t quickto come out, but we were not in a rush. We ate outside and the weather was beautiful. We also got a tzatziki appetizer which wasgood. We certainly plan to return. Next time I?ll try to take more photos but I was busy enjoying the food, drink, company andweather! Read more

The best gyros I?ve ever had. Traditional pork gyros with perfectly crisped ends and just the right toppings. Seriously love... this place. Do yourself the added favor of starting with the avgolemono and ending with the sour cherry baklava. Read more

Added: Again, I?m not complaining that it wasn?t salty enough. It was not salty AT ALL. And this is coming from a person who... does not like salty food. There must have been something wrong with brushing the marinade and the marinade itself. I would?vebrought my food for you to check it yourself, but it?s too far and too late. Please check with your cooking staff if you didn?tcook it yourself.. I ordered lamb chop and mixed grill (sirloin chicken lamb). It had no taste whatsoever other than simplefaint herb scent. I called the restaurant and owner said he doesn?t season the meat with salt nor the olive oil that he brusheswith while cooking. I think it?s nonsense and he just forgot to do something right on this dish, but if that?s actually how youcook and people like it?. Ok sure. Included sauce was pretty good. Meat was cooked to good temperature. I just wished this meatwas seasoned or brushed well. Very disappointed as I love middetearanean (Turkish, Greek) style lamb chops and this was my firstever disappointment in this area. Read more

This place is a hidden gem. Delicious Gyros, which we ordered along with dolmades and olives for a really nice Sunday lunch.... They took time to explain where each olive type originated and clearly cared about the food's roots. We'll be back! Read more

John is the embodiment of Filotimo. Hands down one of THE best Greek food restaurants in Northern VA. As an authentic hole in... the wall, this place can get quite busy; exercise patience as the staff process your orders. The owner John (Yiannis) is atreasure and worth the visit alone. He?ll selflessly keep you company and share a drink and story with you. Give the pork gyro ashot, have some Greek coffee, and finish it with a made-from-scratch Bougatsa. ???? Read more

Would give 6 stars if I could! The ?Best Damn Gyro? lives up to its name with delicious sauce, soft and crunchy pita, and... amazingly spiced meat. The Galaktoboureko dessert I tried (honey, cream, philo dough) was a dream too. The staff was friendlyand bustling - just opened in 2020 as a long-held dream by the owner?come out and support it! Your belly will be glad you did. Read more
