First timer, and was really excited about trying a new Chinese take out restaurant. I saw the Google reviews at 490 reviews... with 4.3 stars, but I genuinely don't understand why. It appears that the reviews are split down the middle. We paid $73.00for mediocre food this evening and honestly will not go back again. We placed an order for take out on a Friday night. Personwho took our order was great on the phone. Arrived for pickup, and saw the parking lot was at full capacity. Management insidewas organized and seemed to know everything that was going on. Seemed like a great beginning to a great story. When we gothome, we were sad to find out the food to not be seasoned, and flavorless. (We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, Beef Chow Mein, and aPupu Platter). My go to for Chinese is orange chicken and crab Rangoon. Crab Rangoons are delicious there, orange chicken isn't my favorite... there though. Service was good, very friendly staff and quick. Nice and comfortable seating area with a bar. All in all a goodplace to go. Read more
If we are looking for Chinese near Our home in Gray, this is our go to place for good Chinese food. We usually do take out and... the service is very good. Sally the owner is great, I?ve know her for sometime now and she guides me on different options andexplains what certain dishes are if I haven?t had them before. Read more
Gave it a 4 only because this last visit, the food was unusually not very good. Pork strips were VERY fatty, rice dry, and... teriyaki was pretty chewy. Usually not the case. Food is usually awesome and worth our long drive. Will definitely keep goingthere. Read more
I think you are going to find two types of reviews on this place, local Maine folks who don't know Chinese food and will rave... about it being the best food ever and people from the big city who do know Chinese food and will pan it as the worst food ever.They will both be wrong. Is it the best Chinese food on the planet, I live in Los Angeles, and so I know good Chinese food, no,it's not. Is it the best around this part of Maine, I would guess yes. I thought it was pretty decent even by Los Angelesstandards, definitely good for this area, and if you leave your big city expectations aside you should enjoy it, we did and wewill be back. Read more
I dont usually leave reviews, but if your from out of town, and use to real chinese food. Please dont stop here. The rice tasted... like the covered it in soy sauce. The egg roll wasn't good. The chicken wings can get a pass, but was a little over fried. Btw..they make there own duck sauce. Paid $15 plus dollars for some garbage food. Read more
We went because it was supposed to be a buffet, it was not. But the food was quite good, the service was terrific, and the... prices were reasonable. They had house made duck sauce and hot mustard that were phenomenal. It was a small place, and we gotthere right before the rush. The place filled right up. And it was a Tuesday evening. They have a full bar, though we didn'torder drinks. There was eight of us and they had no problem accommodating us, but had we gotten there later, I am not sure thatwould have been the case.
