Meze is a fantastic place. Fresh, organic well cooked ingredients. Fantastic falafels, great bowls, organic - it is the best.... And that is just the food. The people who help you are wonderful kind and mindful of how they are preparing everything. I?veenjoyed every meal and getting to know the people who help me when I?m here. Highly recommend. Quite simply, not as good as they used to be. Their customer service has always been a little iffy, but this has been my second... time coming in the late afternoon (well after the lunch rush) and having to leave before even ordering. I was the only customer,and wasn't greeted with even a "hello, we'll be with you in just a minute" merely just the person at the cash register countingbills, acting like I didn't even exist. The same happened last time, only I waited 10 minutes in line with only one person infront of me, with whom they decided to practically do an on the spot interview. I'm disappointed, and the food doesn't feelworth the wait anymore. Hope they can do better in the future, but I'm not optimistic. Read more

Great food, loved the Vegan Bowl all the parts fit together so well. The flavor profile of the sauces was top notch, the falafel... was crispy on the outside and moist inside, and the key lime pie was sweet and tart. All I can say is, I'll be back every time Ivisit the area. Read more
I first experienced Alon and Tal's food at the farmers market in Nevada City and would always stop by and get a falafel pita... each week. I'm glad they opened a store front to enjoy their food at! You can't go wrong with the beef/lamb Schwarma or I lovetheir paleo bowl. All the flavors are so bright, fresh and you feel great after eating there. Definitely one of my favoritespots in all of Nevada County. Read more

I had the Beef and Lamb Shawarma. It was delicious and the flavors pop in your mouth. A great blend of seasonings and texture. I... highly recommending eating here. I also had the dessert ; malabi with pistachio crumble with a sweet rose water syrup; it wasvery unique but tasty. Then the Red Infusion is a delightful hibiscus tea with a limeade. Very refreshing. OMG!!!! I?m picky and vegan so as most vegans know and even vegetarians its hard to find a dish at a restaurant that is loaded... with flavor and healthy too. My only complaint would be that I wish they had a location where I live!!!! I am here from out oftown and I would eat here often if I lived here. Really bummed I wont experience this amazing food again. I had the vegan bowland every bite had amazing and different flavors, so many flavors and the falafel balls were sooooo flavorful as well. I guessif I had to come up with anything else it would be that they offered a half bowl. The vegan bowl was massive. Great bowl toshare with a friend but definitely too much for one person without stuffing yourself. Of all the restaurants I have tried inGrass Valley during my stay here this is the best!
