We came here on a Saturday around 1230pm. The were not busy but still took a fews minutes to even be acknowledged. We ordered... water a 3 different apps to share. The water taste like it was straight from the lake. The 3 apps we ordered were boonlesswings, waffle fries with beer cheese Cheddar cheese and bacon, and pretzels with beer cheese. The fries only had very littleCheddar cheese nothing else. The pretzels were overcooked and the beer cheese was watered down so much and gross. This Applebee's in Grapevine Texas is very close to the Springhill Suites were we stayed. That was our main reason for trying -... and the fact that we have not had any bad experiences with any we have visited. The waiter that greeted us was nice- he informedus that it would be a wait if we dined in due to short staff. We opted for the Bar to do take out and have a drink. The Barwaitress was wonderful- she was friendly, fast , and very helpful as she worked the Bar Patrons and helped the other twowaiters with the floor Patrons. The signature cocktail- she fixed was good with a nice kick. We ordered the Bone in wings andthe Oriental Chicken Salad. While enjoying our cocktail- the bar waitress bought our carry out order. It may have taken all of40 minutes- which was fine as we enjoyed the spots tv and conversation. One back to our hotel-- the wings was hot and flavorful. We paid $135 for 6 people (2 adults, 3 teens and a 7 year old). The waitress was nice and friendly but wasn't very attentive: we... rarely got refills (the ones we got we had to ask for) and she kept bringing the wrong drinks, we had the wrong meal broughttwice, and kept having to ask for stuff like ketchup and sauces (had to ask multiple times). The food was brought out and wedidn't have silverware--asked three people and waited almost 10 minutes before it arrived. Oh how this place has gone downhill. My gf and I went there to eat desert. The only person who did their job right was the... hostess and the bar tender. No wait staff came to our table even though it wasn't busy, so I ordered on the tablet and then wentto the bar to get drinks. Food came out. I told the manager about not being waited on. We werent looking for free anything butwe weren't comped anything for lack of service. I guess the good thing is we didn't have to tip anyone. Avoid this applebees. Read more

I'll always try to be very fair when rating restaurants. We went to Applebee's yesterday after spending some time at Bass Pro... shop next door. They weren't crowded!! We were promptly seated and ordered a short time later. It took 20 minutes to bring outour order, my wife believes it was 30 minutes. I had to ask the waitress to check on our order. Son ordered a hamburger and mywife and I shared a Quesadilla burger. There were severe storms moving in and wanted to be home before they hit. I asked for thecheck, the waitress show me how to pay using the device on the table. Tried 3 times. Just said try again, server is adding moreorders to this table. I had to wave her down, she took the check and manually did it. I had gotten so aggravated that I almostjust left when I couldn't pay for the meal. This waitress was so sweet and very stressed as she was the only waitress there, Iwas understanding about her being alone, but she did all she could humanly do. I did give her a tip.
