The entire experience was ., from the time you walk in and are greeted. You don't get fish chowder unless you're in the bay... ....but go figure. The hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable. The waitress was cheerful and bubbly. Rusticly comforting.Order the lunch soup and salad bar. Sampled everything on it and everything was excellent. They have these 2 salad dressings,Red House and White House that everyone should try. Everything just makes you feel layer back and at ease. Food excellent. Can't wait to go back. Read more

If you are looking for more than just a quick stop for a place to eat, Penn Alps might be the place for you. It?s more than just... a restaurant. After a good home cooked meal, make sure you check out the local crafters demoing their trades ranging from blacksmithing to wood working to pottery and even quilling. This restaurant is the best in the region. Really good food, atmosphere, beautiful scenery, clean dining and restrooms, and a... very nice gift/craft shop. Most of all my family and I enjoy the kind folks that work there. They?re the heart and soul of theentire operation. My family has been driving 40 miles (one way) nearly every Sunday for 25 years for their wonderful AYCEbuffet on Saturday & Sundays. Most of the staff are what we call ?the originals? who have been there longer than that. Theymaintain a high standard for their staff with food, cleanliness and customer service that will leave your hunger long behind youand a big smile on your face when you leave. great buffet and service. Visited Friday night fur the seafood buffet. They had a large salad bar. the entree bar had clams.... fried shrimp, fish, Mac and cheese and more. There was also dessert and ice cream. Read more

This place was absolutely marvelous to stop at. The vibration from going into this place was one of the most welcoming of any... restaurant I think I've ever been at. The food was terrific, my reuben sandwich was delivered quickly and food was terrific.They have a really nice buffet and had a reasonable price there are five different dining areas so there's always playing space.I just can't say enough good things about this place, I absolutely go here!!
