Reviews for High Country Creamery and Market in Grantsville, MD
Inside is cute and country. Food was horrible. I ordered the Hawaii pizza and chips and my husband got the chicken tenders and... fries. Pizza was under cooked and fries and chips and 2 chicken tenders were burnt. Unfortunately we were passing through or wewould have taken it back. Nice clean place for a rest stop but I would not recommend the food. My total was 25 dollars. Read more
This yummy and charming place is less than a 30 min drive from Deep Creek/The Wisp and about 45 minutes from the Flight 93... Memorial. We happened to stop in on a Wednesday when they were making cheese. The kids enjoyed watching the people working. Thekids ordered ice-cream (from a creamery in Maryland). The adults ordered a Ruben and a Club and we all shared Poutine Fries andCheese Curds. The kids wanted to stay until they were finished making the cheese but we had some place else to be. We alsobought bacon, cheese, crackers and pickles for a cheese board (to be eaten at a later date and combined with some produce andother products we purchased at another market nearby ). They also offered milk, butter, pre-made foods , meats eggs, andhandmade local crafts along with other items in a gift shop type area. We wish we would have visited this place sooner. Read more

This place is adorable and the food is delicious. The Greek Flatbread is the perfect blend of sweet and savory
Do you have a fascination with cheese curds? Then this is the place to see how they're made fresh. Divine real-ingredient foods.... The BLT was so good and I tried some official Maryland crab soup. They also have lil mini scooped cones. Cute. Lots of odds andends to shop for. Read more
Beautiful creamery in an incredibly scenic area. We were fortunate enough to watch fresh mozzarella being made and the kids... loved it! There was also a huge variety of local goods and treats (canned preserves, sauces and spices, home decor, baby items, seasonal decorations, coffee/tea and so much more). Such a huge variety of goods and foods made locally. Plenty of cheeses (thecurds are great!!) available in the cooler as well as fresh meat and premade dips. Very friendly staff and the entire facilitywas spotless and gorgeous! Thank you for a wonderful visit!! Read more
Awesome place loved all the homemade things, from soaps and bath products to amish rugs and table runners. They have something... for everyone. There is an ongoing video which shows how they make the cheeses and if you are lucky enough you might be therewhile they are making it and be able to watch through the viewing window. There is a cheese sample table to test them out beforeyou buy.. We brought home a hot cheese and a coffee infused one. They have some award winners and I see why...they aredelicious....love the atmosphere and decor. The employees were all very friendly and nice. Will definitely be back if we are inthe area again.
