It was ok..meat had to favor to it at all...will give another chance but it will he a while...hope it improves the next... time....well the next time came...ordered food got it in a timely manner but no silver ware..took another 5 to 6 minutes to getit....the they charge al-la-cart...for most everything..never again will I go there... Me and my wife tried out this place on the way back home from OBX. The food wasn't great, it was pretty bland and didn't have... any seasoning it seemed. The scary part is how fast the order came out after we ordered. I am talking like less then 3 minutes.It had us questioning if it was cooked or microwaved. We didn't even have time to eat the chips and salsa. We waited longer forthe bill to get from the server. We just know not to stop there again. Read more

El Portillo is our new favorite Mexican restaurant!!! We just moved to the area and love Mexican food. We stop here once a... week and try something different each time. They do not disappoint. The meals are tasty, the staff is great and the decor isvery festive. Highly recommend if you are passing through, live on the beach or live on the mainland! ¡Muchos Gracias! Read more

Nice place for vegetable fajitas! Excellent fast service, clean and cheerful dining room. Glad we found it!

First I'll start by saying i dont know how much the drinks were, seeing as my boyfriend didn't let me see the bill. They were... delicious though! The food was very good and the service was great! It was our first visit here and I will definitely go back. We were seated in a booth, however, they had a nice looking bar as well. They close at 10pm on the night we went, which was aFriday. I really had a good "first" date at this restaurant. Lol Also, I will add that the restroom was clean which isalways a plus. One last thing that I thought was nice was the bench outside, seeing as I am a smoker on occasion. I reallyenjoyed my drinks and my meal at this local establishment.
