The dine-in area needed cleaning. The staff was ill-groomed and lethargic. Only after taking my sub order did the server state... "we're out pickles again.". No apology, no offer of a compensatory drink or chip. Meanwhile the 'manager' can be heard in backon a personal phone call, rather than out sourcing a 5 gallon jar of a high-demand ingredient from a nearby grocery store. The associate, Nick, was incredibly unprofessional. I was not greeted and I was treated more like a burden than a customer. They... actually made me feel guilty about ordering. Ordered on the app. I didn't receive my whole order, and when I called they said they were out of stock. Then I ask "So then... will I be refunded for what I didn't get?" And he seemed very puzzled by that question and gave the phone to someone else, whosaid "we would have to refund the whole order and then recharge the items you didn't get, and we're not going to do that."Insisted I get my refund from doordash despite the fact that I did not even order through doordash, I ordered from the subwayapp. None the less, I contacted doordash and explained and they said they could not refund me and the subway store would have torefund me, and they shouldn't have charged me for items they didn't have in the first place. My sister in law and I came to this establishment and was treated very poorly by one your employee's his name was Jarin! He was... rude with his responses and was slamming the containers and our subs around. There was no reason for the hostility. I cannotbelieve you have someone like him working here! Worst Subway that I have been too. People behind the counter were screwing around, yelling and laughing. Not professional at... all. Counter was so dirty with condiments and food all over it. I asked them not to put sub on that until ot was cleaned thenI had to ask them if they had anymore vegetables as NICK asked what I was looking for, then processed to give dirty look androlled eyes. The service was fast and friendly and they took extra care with my 4 year old's sandwich to be sure it was exactly how he wanted... it. They were also totally willing to help us get something to eat for the baby which I really appreciated. The tables wereclean which made it nice to sit and eat. The food was good, one of the better Subway experiences we've had as far as taste goes.I was disappointed that there is no place to change a baby's diaper - we thought at first that it was just the men's room withno changing table but there wasn't one in the women's room either. Jarin's way has convinced me to just get Jimmy Johns instead. Dude slapped my dub together with no finesse and then over toasted... my sub. I asked if it was burnt and he said "just a little." Was told there was a national shortage of small cups, so they upcharged for a medium size. Called several other locations and... they all had small cups. Not so smooth Subway Bucktown!!!! Fail. Way to up sell every meal. I will not give business to thisdishonest location again. Read more
