Reviews for Ajida Mongolian & Ramen in Grand Rapids, MN
A lot has changed here since new ownership, and so you no longer get to dish your own food or choose your sauces. They also have... a lot less options for sauce?s and seasonings and ours came out VERY salty. Service was great, and the restaurant seemed prettyclean, aside from the restrooms. My biggest complaint was that we got really sick; we ordered chicken with our veggies andnoodles, and definitely got food poisoning. Not fun. Read more
I was a little concerned when I walked into an empty restaurant at high noon. (I should have turned around) The server provided... me with a table and a checklist type order form to choose ingredients for my overpriced plate of food. The order arrivedpromptly and was very hot but the aroma was less than appealing. The rice noodles were okay but the chicken had been terriblyovercooked leaving it with a rubbery consistency. The corn, onions and mushrooms were equally overcooked as well. While I onlyate a third of the meal my biggest complaint was the absolute blandness of the whole thing. No amount of Soy, Hoisin or Srirachawas going to fix this meal. An overcooked plate of noodles, chicken, onions, corn and mushrooms just didn't impress me. Ipolitely paid my tab (slightly over $18) and declined the takeout box they eagerly provided. This was a very disappointingdining experience. I wish them luck... Read more
Surprisingly great ramen place in Grand Rapid! We came from the Twin Cities to pick up our kids from the Living Word Bible Camp.... The kiddos was crazing for some noodles / Asian taste, so we found Ajida. The server recommended the Miso Ramen with Pork(Chashu aka Japanese Braised Pork Belly) that was really good! The pork broth of the miso ramen was not very salty, which wethink is just nice. I wish they would cook the bean sprout a little more as it was a little too raw to my liking. Overall weappreciate such quality ramen in a small town. Good job Ajida. We will be back again! Read more
The place is extremely clean and bright, the food is fantastic especially for 15 bucks. You can order off menu too but the 15... dollar plate is enough food for dinner and your lunch tomorrow. Nice rich full flavors, made to order. A nice departure from themore Americanized Asian food offered in the area. The service is quick and competent. Highly recommend, give it a shot. Read more
A small, yet clean place that is very friendly! The food is ordered via a paper you fill out with the meats, noodles, veggies,... and sauces you want, then they prepare it for you. The cost is $14.95 per plate and I couldn't finish mine, even though I wasvery hungry! I'll definitely be back! Read more
This place changed from a buffet to a single plate for $15 but I think it is a better value. First no more standing in line and... second the portion size is very generous. I have included photos of mine and my wife?s entrees. They have a nice alcoholselection as well. Also you can now take the leftovers home which we did because there was so much. It was great food!!! We are in love with this place. Very friendly service and very fast. Ordered some gyoza appetizers that were outstanding. The... noodles were wonderful and steaming hot. And the mochi for dessert topped it all off. We will be coming back for sure. Read more
