This restaurant is unique in its modern twist on a southern theme in an urban setting. The menu is extensive with a wide variety... of absolutely delicious sounding choices. Each of the meals that the four people in our party got for lunch were equallydelicious. The portions were just right as well. They did lose one star because our poor waitress was left hanging in the windby a kitchen and support staff that did not properly update their ordering system which resulted in her allowing my wife toorder a meal that was not available when we were there. She was very gracious about it and we were very pleased with herexcellent customer service skills. Read more

Amazing, local place serving delicious food. I went in for brunch on a Saturday at noon. I had made a reservation online and it... looked like it did save me a wait. I ordered the traditional breakfast with the soy-based sausage, so vegetarians can celebratebut I wouldn't recommend the establishment for vegans. I had the breakfast with the biscuits, which you absolutely need to orderno matter what else you get. They are SO delicious!! They came with honey, butter, and fruit preserves. The only detractor: thebutter was essentially frozen. I used the fruit preserves, which were great, but if I had wanted the butter, I was out of luck. And then I finished the meal with a non-alcoholic cocktail - the Turmeric Ginger Tonic, which was bold and refreshing. Overall,a lovely, vibrant atmosphere that I'm sure is even more lovely in the warm weather. Highly recommend for single diners, couples, coworkers, and large groups. It's great for everyone! I recently came to Tupelo Honey for lunch on a day out with my young son. We had a wonderful experience. The wait staff was very... attentive and friendly. They always made sure we had enough beverages in our cups and that our food was alright. The food wasfantastic as well. I got the Mac and cheese chicken and waffles and my son ordered the grilled cheese with a side of the bakedMac and cheese off of the kid's menu. I have to say that the Mac and cheese was far and away the best I've ever had at anyrestaurant. It wasn't dry at all and it actually had flavor! I knocked a star because the chicken and waffles that I had was alittle dry. I'm a sauce gal and there just wasn't much on there along with the chicken being a little dry as well. The flavorwas still on point and I am happy with my meal over all, but with the big waffles and the chicken it would be nice to have alittle more of the ranch and hot sauce. Overall this place is terrific and I can't wait to come back to try the fried picklesand the biscuits! Read more

Overall I would recommend it to anyone. That being said just a few things I would take note of. The Divine Swine was fantastic,... but the taste was so rich in the morning that it would be very hard to finish. Chicken and waffles were fantastic nothingneeded there. The biscuits are a must. Probably within the top 3 I've ever had. Mimosas were average at best... Probably themost disappointing part of the meal. Read more

Tupelo Honey has some amazing fried chicken and drinks. I’m not sure if I’ve had better fried chicken in Grand Rapids. The... service was great and the vibe was pretty cool as well. The prices were a little high but the quality was definitely there.Highly recommended! Read more

Charles was the best part of our first experience here! I also liked my tortilla soup & highly recommend getting the biggest... bowl you can get. We had the sweet & spicy chicken w/fries which was alright & brussels sprouts which we would not recommend. Wewould recommend drinking here! We tried the “bless your heart” which was our favorite & the “blueberry lavender”. I alsohave the “Bloody Maria” which was spicy but not bad. All in all, I’d come back here for Charles, the “bless yourheart” & the tortilla soup. Read more

Tupelo Honey serves delicious southern style food in a casual but upscale setting. It has become one of my favorites in the... city. Flavors have always been fresh and delicious but I have had several dishes where the chicken was a bit dry. The friedgreen tomatoes are a standout dish for sure, as well as the hopped sweet tea and cocktails. I’m disappointed to learn thattheir generous rewards program/app is ending and this may make me less likely to visit. Tupelo still remains a very solid choicebut would love to see the quality and consistency of dishes tightened up a bit. Read more

One of the coolest/nicest casual dining in the area while specializing in southern style food. We’ve been here two times now... and enjoyed our food both times. The atmosphere is very welcoming and has nice touches throughout the restaurant. It’srecommended that you get a reservation online before you arrive though. While the food was really good, it wasn’tspectacular, hence a 4 star. Read more
