My first time visit today at lunch. Got the manicotti special. Extremely fast service and the waitress was amazing! The... food...oh my goodness the food! Very generous portions. Started with a lovely salad, then came two perfect manicotti nestled ina bed of sauce with a cheese blanket on top and oozing down the sides. It was so hot the sauce was still sizzling. That's notall...it also came with a huge piece of garlic bread. This isn't your mass produced Italian fare. This was fresh, made with loveand passion, and it was stupendous! The decor is charming, in a rustic sort of way. Price is completely reasonable, especiallysince the portion size was enough for two meals. I work nearby so I'll definitely be coming back regularly. I love to collect feathers and I found one on the walkway while having a cigarette. The personal bacon and mushroom pizza was... absolutely delicious. Our server was extremely upbeat. Great family owned restaurant. We go there every so often have always enjoyed our meals. Several days of the week they have a... standing dinner special which is extremely reasonable and filling. We don?t go often enough to know servers and I don?t seem torecognize any from previous visits, but we have always had friendly and good service. Read more

If you want to get away from the downtown "what's cool at the newest brewery" vibe, head over to Salvatore's. We are from out... of town, here for a 2 day event and found this hidden gem. Amazing food, obviously homemade and delicious. We had the spinachartichoke dip and a pizza with a couple meatballs as a side because the waitress said they were amazing. Honestly, themeatballs were good, but the app and pizza were amazing. We're already joking about possibly going back there tomorrow night aswell. I was visiting Grand Rapids we stopped at Salvatores for dinner, I had the veal Parmigian and a muscles in there own sauce both... were good. The veal was tender with lots of gravy and cheese simple classic dish. Wait staff was nice and food came out quick. Read more

Ordered one 16-in pepperoni, jalapeno, fresh basil pizza carryout for about $18. The dough/crust is pretty good overall, the... pizza is all right, but why is there so many jalapenos on it? I have no idea why it's outnumbering the other toppings like fourto one. There's literally jalapenos on top of jalapenos and canned ones at that, not fresh. I got the sampler platter. The lasagna was just okay for me but I enjoyed the rest of it. The portions are very large especially... for the price. Meal came with a salad and garlic bread as well.
