I ordered the meatloaf, it was luke warm at best. I was immediately disappointed when the food arrived to the table, the... meatloaf was labeled "grilled" when it came it was grey in color, and not at appetizing in look. I venture to say the cooksthrew a piece of meatloaf in a microwave for about 30 seconds. I was running around all day and hadn't eaten at that point, soI ate it. I did let the waitress know, her reply was "oh, I'm sorry about that" it was not genuine at all. I know the waitstaff isn't responsible for the quality of food, however she could offered a free pie, or comp me 10% off at least. My partyasked for a refill on our drinks, (in my opinion you shouldn't have to ask) the waitress forgot, I asked again and she said "ofcourse, but it's going to be a minute" after 15 minutes or so, we elected to just cash out and leave. As we were leaving thesoda refills came. This isn't the Russ' I would visit frequently with my family as child. I'll never take the risk of anothervisit after this. Read more

Yesterday I ordered from Russ' Restaurant for the first time. We had Russ' 'Famous' Hand Battered Onion Rings, Double... Cheeseburgers, and Carrot Cake. I'm always a bit leery when someone describes their product as famous but in this case I thinkit was justified; these were one of the two best orders of onion rings I've ever had in my life. Hand cut, crisp, anddeliciously battered, I'm looking forward to having them again. Their carrot cake was incredible, moist, firm, well spiced witha tasty cream cheese icing. It was one of the best tasting pieces of carrot cake, other than homemade, that it's been mypleasure to devour. The burgers however were a totally different story. I had requested they not be overcooked and mentioned Ilike my Burgers pink inside. What I got was totally overdone burgers without a trace of pink or any juiciness. For this reason Ihave to give Russ' Restaurant three stars and instead of the five that the onion rings and carrot cake were leading up to.Future orders will have to have something else as the entree because the burgers were totally disappointing. This is the cleanest restaurant I've ever been in. While in Grand Rapids I had to enjoy a breakfast stop, and I chose Russ'... Restaurant for that meal. Parking was a Plenty. Once inside I was amazed at how clean this place is! The waitress Terri wasexceptionally friendly and accommodating. We placed our order, and waited for about 20 minutes for our food order. Coffee wastopped off more than once during the wait for food. Food came out and everything looked great. I had the Eggs Benedict and foundthe food to be delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. I would highly recommend you visit this establishment. Icannot imagine anyone would be unhappy. Ordered the Hot Turkey Sandwich and it looks like brown gravy! Their explanation was it got a little darker! It was very salty... and the wait time was awful! I'm really disappointed with them this time. Read more
This is the first time I've used their drive thru , and except for the time delay , I am impressed with the selection and... friendliness. I ordered the Meatloaf "Stacker" sandwich and it's basically an open faced sandwich which was very filling andvery tasty. The only reason for 4 stars is the long wait. Read more
This place is one of the better dutc resturants that I go to, even though the drive through can sometimes be a bit long compared... to te likes of Mcdonanalds but the food is worth the wait. Read more
