River North is a fantastic spot to get a bite or a beverage. The bar/wait staff is always friendly and seems helpful with menu... recommendations and questions. All of the dishes are made from scratch with quality ingredients and seem to be made with careand attention to detail. I've been here about a dozen times now and I've never had a bad experience. The overall vibe ismid-century-modern eclectic with some Asian influences as well. The lighting is fun, seating is comfy, and the patio is a greatspot to hang as well. If I had to give a critique based on what I've seen, I get the idea the owner sometimes stretches herselfthin, trying to manage and host at the same time. She is super friendly but likes to chat with the regulars and doesn't alwaysnotice when other guests are at the host stand or in need of assistance. When I was there yesterday my husband and I got anorder of wings and it came with celery shreds instead of celery sticks. I asked if it would be possible to get some celerysticks, and the bartender immediately replied that he did not think that would be possible and that all of the celery wasalready shredded (as far as he knew). I thought it was a pretty basic request so I told him I would even be fine with an uncutstalk of celery. He said he would see what he could do and came back a few minutes later saying all of this celery was indeedalready shredded. We've driven by many times and finally stopped in on mother's day weekend. We had great time. The ambiance is very... relaxing with a good mix of modern touches and peaceful decorations. The staff is welcoming and friendly, checking on us theright amount to keep us topped off without ever feeling rushed. The food is delicious. The cauliflower burger reminded us ofour favorite place Marie Catribs. Do yourself a favor and check them out. You'll be back many times. Read more

This was our first time to River North. You guys -- the service was amazing (thank you, Dierdra!) We've been to most Creston... restaurants and I have to say that this was the most neighborhood-y feel of any of them. Cozy, great food, good people, andamazing cocktails. It was a Friday night and my fiance and I were looking for a nice place eat and something different. We are so glad that we... decided to stop in here! Great service and beautiful plating on their food! I had the mushroom burger on a pretzel bun fordinner and it was amazing. My fiance loved the soup that she got and we both loved the foccacia bread.
