Way up on the top of the Amway Tower - great space, our shared tapas plates were uniformly excellent. The staff went out of... their way to make the dining experience unforgettable. Notables include the prawns with a complex reduced fennel sofrito, thefluffy potato tortilla (magically lighter than the sum of its ingredients), and the ham croquettes - crunchy, cheesy, fluffy, and very very tasty. Great "treat" restaurant for spoiling your partner or celebrating a special occasion. Read more

This was an absolutely amazing dining experience. The food was elegant and delicious all while having amazing views of downtown... GR. It's definitely a higher priced eatery but it was worth every bit of the price! Our appetizer was the potato omelet whichwas a beautiful thick layered cut of "pie" which was amazing. Our main course was the scallops and the rare Spain style porkthat was out of this world. To our lemon custard dessert with lemon caviar which is just lemon zest balls was the perfect finishto our birthday dinner. The food was so good, we caught ourselves eating it as slowly as we could. We are trying to justifymore events to celebrate and go here. This again, is worth the money to go here! I highly recommend it!!!! You can get inwithout a reservation, but it seems like it's only the bar seating and you might have to get there the minute they open. Theyalso give a discount to park valet at the hotel. So I believe our parking may have cost around $6. Read more

Sophisticated dining at the top of the Amway Grand tower. Obviously great views of the city from the 27th floor. Laura our... waitress was fantastic. The chefs prepared delicious looking and tasting food, and the cocktails from the bar were unique andlovely. For the two of us, we ended up just doing tapas and no main course. Four tapas, 4 cocktails and a desert was about $150before tip, and we were completely satisfied. Without alcohol you could easily stay under $100 for two. We'll definitely beback. Read more

Food, decor, scenic views were all excellent. Lamb chops and the Angus bone marrow were very good. The lemon yuzu and chocolate... cake and cotton candy desserts were absolutely delicious! Next time we will try the mains. Would recommend for a date night orspecial occasion dinner. Read more

Let me start with parking. Parking is conveniently right across from the Amway and they reimburse you for the parking fee so... that?s nice. I?ve been to this restaurant a few times and my favorites are the share plates. They are all pretty amazing but Ican?t believe how delicious the peppers are. These are hands down my favorite appetizer. You will be surprised at how amazingthese are so just trust me and order them!!! The main course items are good too but the share plates are just more flavorfuland exciting to me. The desserts are also amazing. I recommend the lemon one. It?s truly unique and the layers of flavorwithin it are just amazing. I can eat that everyday! This place is on the pricier side but still worth it for any specialnight. Read more

Had a 5 course experience with some of the best food ever! Not pictured are the serrano ham with crusty bread, deep fried... olives, and the most delicious colossal shrimp in a tomato based sauce with saffron. The beautiful view and atmosphere almostlets you forget you are in western Michigan. Highly recommended for a romantic night out, or a special celebration or forgrabbing small bites with amazing cocktails, this place it all! Read more

Head a great time here. Server was very friendly and personable, staff was attentive, service was timely. I had the skate fish... and it was phenomenal. For an appetizer we got the octopus which surprisingly was a little bland considering all the sauces.View was great of course. Read more

At this point, MDRD has the best fine dining in Grand Rapids as far as I'm concerned. Everything we ate was stunning. The main... courses were unique and perfectly done. The desserts, not to be outshined, were incredibly creative, even whimsical. If I hadone complaint, it's that the dinner and desserts felt like they were from two completely different but equally impressiverestaurants. Make sure to get both. Read more
