So originally my friends and I were looking for a late night coffee spot so this was open late and we gave it a try. The menu... selection as far as coffee and lattes was kind of small, but they did have a lot of options as far as tea's that I will begiving a try... we stumbled across the kava which I had no clue about until the server gave us the run down.. long story short Igave it a try because of the numbing effect that it had and I came in with a sinus infection and I wanted to see if that wouldhelp... the taste was ????????????? not for me but it definitely helped ease up the pain. I'd probably try out the other flavorsof kava to see what sits well for me, but definitely recommend giving it a try, just know what flavor you're going for becauseit is on the pricey side and you don't want to spend alot on something you don't like.. I want to love this place. I've had the pleasure of drinking Kava with Fijians while living in Micronesia and can confirm that... their Kava is pretty good. What's hard to accept is a beautiful cultural practice that seems cheapened by the atmosphere. Ithink some acknowledgment of the origins would feel a lot less like cultural appropriation. Read more

A little pricey, but was worth finding kava on this side of the state. I had never had kava with flavor added and sweetness,... which changes the whole experience. Staff are knowledgeable of the types they carry and what flavor combos work. All around cutelittle shop and worth the stop! Read more

Kava Kasa is a comfy establishment. They offer several coffees and teas in addition to the main draw, the Kava drinks. You can... read all about Kava online, I'm not gonna preach, so depending on who you read it's anywhere between a cure-all wonder-plant ora passing tea fad. This is the kinda place that uses the word "toxins" unironically in their menu. I got the rare double, whichis what they suggest for newcomers. Cost me around 14 bucks. There's lots of options on how to prep it, just like a coffee shop. It's meant to be chugged, and it did indeed lighten my mood and numb my lips and mouth a bit. The staff were friendly and canwalk a newcomer through, or serve a pro. This place is comfy and their social media pages have events listed, if you want to goto an open mic or a social club gathering. I give it 4/5 because the prices are a bit high, even for a specialty drinks place. There's also a lot of dubious claims in their official handouts that could use some citations... Read more
