Go somewhere else! There are plenty of other places to eat in Grand Lake that offer great food AND GREAT SERVICE! The food... wasn't terrible but the service was. It was not busy at all and we should have been in and out fairly quickly. Over an hourlater - refills with no ice - refill of chips/salsa didn't come until our meal came - never got our appetizer. In one word: disappointing. This is not, in fact, a pub and grill. It?s a Mexican restaurant. I picked it based on the name... while walking around Grand Lake and was dismayed when seated to see the menu. My waitress took my order and didn?t come back.Several other staff either brought a glass of water or food. I was thirsty and wanted a refill but couldn?t get anyone to giveme more, despite asking several people. I saw other tables which were ordering alcoholic beverages get better service andwondered if I wasn?t because I just wanted water. I eventually asked a man in training behind the bar for a refill. I waited andwaited for my bill but it never came. I went back to the man behind the bar and asked if he could help since my waitress wasabsent. He was the best employee there, in my opinion. While the food was good, I can?t get over the poor service, hence, the 1star. Read more
We had a number of issues with our visit here. First, just to note, the restaurant is having an identity crisis. It is currently... Mexican food, which you would not get from the name or appearance of the restaurant. Second, we had the worst service we've everhad at a restaurant. I don't think this is the case for all the waiters/waitresses (based on what we saw at other tables) butour waitress was horrible. She never checked on us, and she wouldn't make eye contact with us at all when she did come to ourtable. We were also unaware of the happy hour going on until we overheard another waiter telling another table. Also, my husbandhad to get up and walk to the hostess stand to get more chips (we ordered queso) and we never got our water refilled.Additionally, the margaritas we got were not very good. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences we've had at arestaurant, so we do not recommend it at all. From the expensive bill and the horrible service, we would not come back. Read more
Sadly this place was a HUGE disappointment. First we stood at the front and waited to be seated and a hostess never came. Server... finally came to our table after we?d sat ourselves 20 minutes before. We got the nachos grande which came out on a cracked plateand oddly enough were the blandest nachos that tasted like the drain cleaner had been emptied on top and then stuck in themicrowave. The chimichanga was soggy af and cold inside and the green chili sauce was horrid. Very sad, we come to grand lakeevery few years for vacation and this was not a good dining experience. $60 for the worst food I?ve had in Colorado. If you?regoing to have a fancy restaurant and charge nice restaurant prices you?ve got to up your game and serve some food that tastesbetter than gas station sushi. Read more
Decent ambiance and a little pricey. That being said, they have a lot of work to do on their AI technology waiters. Our first... male AI waiter was buffering when his eye lasers scanned my ID. We could tell his system was confused by certain orders weplaced. I clearly told my second AI waiter that I was still picking at my grub but he grabbed my food anyway and I had to rip itout of his robot arms. Very strong. I am impressed that this restaurant would try out such advanced technology but they stillhave MUCH work to do. The food was good. The restaurant has a beautiful location, the restaurant is beautiful and clean. The service was not good and... kind of strange. It?s seat yourself which is fine, we had a large group and had to arrange our own tables which is also fine.Whomever ordered water got plastic cups and a container of server your own water. We got a stack of plastic cups, no ice. Andsilverware was brought in a stainless cup was has to hand out our own. That why it got the 3 stars from me. I don?t know who isrunning this restaurant but if they would step up their service this would be a 5 star place to be. Read more
