Reviews for Kuniko's Teriyaki Grill in Grand Junction, CO
It was to die for, I got the Pork Katsu Curry and finished it of with a strawberry Mochi and a Match Mochi. The Katsu was... fantasticly crispy and tasty, The curry was spicy and just delectable. The mochi was a perfect reprieve from the heat soft coldand squishy. The prices were more than fair and atmosphere perfect. If you're a fan of Asian cooking this is 100% got to be onyour radar. 10/10 I will be returning ASAP. Read more
First time dining here. We heard it was a small but great place to eat with fresh food and great staff. This place is a hole in... the wall. Other than one other table, we were the only ones dining there. It took 30+ minutes for our food to arrive. And notall at once either. The sushi chef was the waiter as well! As more people arrived, we were put off to serve others. The cost oflunch did not justify the quality of food we received. Portions are small, and fried shrimp was so overly done I would?veconsidered it burnt. The salad that was brought to us in the beginning was not asked for, nor was it explained. It was soggy andnot well made. Sliced green cabbage with peanut sauce? We were disappointed to say the least. Not worth the high prices at all.We won?t be back. Read more
The food was excellent. Recommend the teriyaki chicken and ask them to make it spicy soooo good.
Kuniko's offers a small casual atmosphere, and excellent food at a good price. Dishes are the traditional Japanese fare, with... Sushi, Udon, etc. on the menu. Alcoholic beverages are limited to the three major Japanese beer brands, Coors light, and aselection of wines. Highly recommended if you want a good, solid, satisfying meal. Read more
I?ve been here three times now and I?ve wanted it to improve but it never does. I don?t recommend it. The atmosphere is? weird,... unfinished and feels kind of unkept. That doesn?t really bother me but the food? My ramen was served with cold pork. The ramenwas over salted. The egg was beyond hard boiled and I wasn?t even asked how I wanted it. The egg also looked like it was barelymarinated. The only thing that looked fresh were the green onions. The starter salad peanut salad was lent rich or thick but sadand ?liquidy.? The salmon carpaccio was mediocre at best and I was worried about eating more than one piece. The noodle bowl myfriend ordered looked OK but the vegetables looked sad. Anyways, the service was OK. I will not be going back. Read more
Taste is amazing, traditional Japanese food. You can try the curry rice with fried meat( pork or chicken) but the meat is a... little bit dry, not juicy enough. The hand roll is also very awesome, you can try salmon skin. All in all, a good place to havea try. Read more
Good place for dinner. Had some sushi roll and an Udon soup. Very good tasting. Service was a bit chaotic as it was busy and... there were a lot of takeout orders. Will definitely go back. Prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh. Small restaurantespecially with social distancing. Menu is extensive and well priced. Plenty of parking in front. Read more
This place is very meh. If you know what good fish taste like you'll be disappointed but if you don't know what good fish taste... like you might not hate it. We did come in 30 min before close and we all have worked restaurant and understand not wanting toserve near closing but we had takeout and tipped well. The girl working with dark brown hair and blond money bangs was prettyrude. She gave us a side eye the entire time and definitely rushed everything. Whatever you do don't get the seaweed salad it'slike kelp and don't get the nigiri the fish was freaking warm when I got it and cut very uneven, made my stomach hurt. Iwouldn't recommend. Read more
