Went with my hubby, first time for both of us and we will definitely be back AND do highly recommend! My husband ordered the... California Turkey sandwich on ciabatta and I ordered the chicken quesadilla. They do not skim on their portions and you can telleverything is fresh and made with care. We really liked both of our items!! We are from the Grand Rapids area and decided toorder a pizza to go for later that night and next day. The pizza was super good even after reheating! Loved the cheese, rathercreamy and the crust was crispy yet chewy. Maybe you could think about opening a Rustic Roots in GR too?! :-) Also offers veganfare which seems to be limited in GH. Our daughter's choice is vegan therefore we are more in tune to vegan options andrestaurants. Have not had their smoothies or their fresh raw juices, but heard others talking out front (we ate outside) thatthey, RR, has the best smoothies and juices around! The food and service are great here. Excellent local and organic dishes, great combinations. I had the Chicken Mexican Quinoa... bowl work mango, banana peppers and onions ... Delicious! I tried a slice of pizza that I'd been hearing about, very fresh andcheesey. Great quality of ingredients. I will say, they run out of quinoa often, but if you're willing to wait she'll whip upsome more to satisfy her customers. Read more
We tried Rustic Roots for the first time, and they currently (07/2022) have signs saying they?re understaffed, so to place your... order at the counter and seat yourself. It?s really not a huge deal?it?s just more like a Panera Bread style service where youorder and then they bring it to your table. The food was all good, and it?s great to have so many gluten free options. Myhusband?s only complaint was he wished the quesadilla had more meat; other than that, everything was good, and we woulddefinitely eat here again. They also have a little shop within the restaurant selling a wide variety of things, so that?s a funway to pass some time while waiting for your food. Read more
One of my favorite places to go in Grand Haven! The pizza is fantastic. But the pineapple express wrap is my favorite go to!... What makes Rustic Roots stand out to me is the owner! Every time I come in she remembers me, and makes a point to say hi. Read more
Pizza is amazing, incredibly flavorful and made in a more traditional way, and not in a boxed or Americanized way. While... under staffed they are still incredibly friendly and provide excellent service, and while each person is cleary performing multiple roles and working well while communicating. Attention to customers is better than more places that have adequatestaff. All while keeping a clean area for visitors. I can't wait to come back and try something else or just grab a pizza ona family beach day. Inside is bright, clean and inviting. Read more
Small place with friendly service. The menu is small, and the food tastes fine but is nothing special (I ordered their grilled... cheese panini, which had a bit more cheese than I felt it needed). At the time of my visit (10-3-2021), they had a signindicating they were understaffed, and the speed of their service reflected that; we only ordered sandwiches and fruit, but ittook quite a while to get our entrees (they did bring out my children's side of fruit beforehand, though, which was great). If Ilived in the area, I would probably give them another chance and try a different dish to see if it had a better depth of flavor. Read more
Great food and service, eat inside or out. The pizza is amazing We had the margarita, Island Vibes a Peaches and cream... smoothie, a craft root beer and a Reeds Ginger Ale. There is something for everyone vegetarian, vegan and everyone else. TheIsland Vibes was great but it has a little zest with the Jalapenos . The Margarita is great a vegetarian favorite. Hidden gem of Grand Haven. I got their build your own pizza and it was delicious. Additionally, I also got a smoothie that was... amazing. They have some really awesome options for food and for those who are vegan or vegetarian. Absolutely amazing restaurantthat I will be returning to. Read more
