From the exterior La Cantina looks nice, but the food and service belayed our thoughts of anything even positive about the... establishment. The interior is not well kept. Beneath our table were used drink lids, straws, and leftover food. We questionedwhether the utensils even got washed. They brought out chips and salsa to start, but somehow the saltiness was reversed. Thechips were bland with no flavor and the salsa was saltier than our moods by the end of our experience. The waitress seemed tonot care about our experience even though it was apparent at the end we were not happy. They were only good for getting us thebill quickly. The food lacked much. I ordered the seafood chimichanga and my significant other ordered the bean chimichanga. Thebean chimi was a sorry attempt at Mexican food. It was literally just refried beans in a overly fried tortilla. The seafoodchimi supposedly had shrimp in it, but they all must have fled the premises in fear of being affiliated. The sauce theyrecommended with the dish was so overpowering, I am still trying to get the flavor out of my mouth. The thing I thought theywould at least get right was the rice. However, the rice was somehow undercooked and lacked flavor. Drink-wise, my significantother ordered a margarita. I was unaware that you could make a margarita with only syrup flavoring and no alcohol. The onlything they didn?t mess up was my Corina, which thankfully was in a bottle. This place is definitely not worth the price they puton their food, just shy of $20 for most plates. I am known amongst family and friends to be the least picky eater they know, andwill eat even the most mediocre to below average food. It is quite a testament that La Cantina made food so bad I didn?t evenwant to eat more than a couple of bites. I plan on never going again. Read more
Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The surroundings very nice and pleasant place to go for lunch. I haven't... tried it for supper yet but I will be next week Read more
Pretty good. There's better Mexican food in the area but my food was good enough to try other items on the menu. I got the food... to go so I can't comment on the service in the dining room. Read more
Good food, great service every time we've gone and everything is reasonably priced. Atmosphere is great, they have a seating... area for 21+, and seating for families too, although there wasn't a lot of seating for large groups that I saw. They had to pull2-3 tables together for 6 of us to eat during our last visit. For two of us we usually spend around $50 for an appetizer, 2entrees & 2 drinks and leave full every time. We've been here 3 times and every time we get something different and every timeit tastes great. Their onion rings are crunchy and the onion doesn't pull out of the fried batter leaving you with the outershell. I'd highly recommend the burrito or enchiladas for an entree & the queso blanco for an app they are my favorites so far.I had the teriyaki chicken sandwich recommended to me by a friend saying it was flavorful and moist; it was really flavorful, the teriyaki was really complimented by the pineapple and surprisingly the chipotle mayo (didn't think the two sauces wouldmix), but mine was a little dry. First time and it was great. Very nice atmosphere and the staff was awesome. Always smiling, helpful and where you needed them.... Food was tasty and hit the spot. Very favorable and hit the spot. The wings were tasty and a good variety of sauces. Thechicken tortillas soup was fantastic. Definitely worth a visit and you'll forget about the poor Mexican food choices in town.Nov 6th, came back for the faitas and they were very tasty and sizzling. Just the way they should be. Only negative was thepassion fruit margaritas, way to much alcohol and couldn't enjoy it. .. Read more
