Nice, beautiful and simple decor, clean, and the ONLY Indian food in Grand Forks so I was hoping it was good food. I was... pleasantly impressed with the quality of the food and the decor and cleanliness of the place. The AC was on just right ... nottoo strong and not too low for summer heat in late July 2022. The table and menu was very clean and so was the bathroom. I amvegetarian and was happy that they could make me a vege tikka masala which is my favorite dish in the world. I asked for extraveges and I was happy to pay the $1.95 extra for it. Then when I received the dish, the masala was amazing but most of the vegeswere big potato pieces and carrots. Those are my least favorite veges. I was hoping for more cauliflower, tomato, green pepper,onion, and even broccoli. Next time I will just ask for the regular vege tikka masala and no extra veggies bc I am afraid to getmostly potato. Other than that the servers were nice and kind. The portion of basmati rice with cumin was perfect (generous). Ilove the parasols all over the ceiling! They are so colorful and beautiful. The decor is not over done. House of Punjab is one of my favorite restaurants in Grand Forks. I visit every week or 2. Their entrees and breads are... delicious and quite reasonably priced. I've never had to wait for a table. The service is prompt, friendly, and attentivewithout being intrusive. They do a great job of getting the spiciness just as ordered. All that adds up to a solid 5 star ratingfrom me! Read more
Finally something different in Grand Forks. I went here for lunch and really enjoyed myself. A relaxed atmosphere with great... service and food choices. If you are like me and hesitant to try out the hotter options don't! I am a real wimp when it comesto spicy food and heard Indian food can get spicy. Not the case today, I had the mild option and wished I would have went afew notches hotter for sure. Read more
One of the finest Indian restaurant ever been to. Found this gem on the way back to Winnipeg, the experience was true to all the... positive reviews. We tried the Chicken Karara and the Paneer Pokoda, both tasted amazing. The bathrooms werespotless. Definitely recommend! Read more
