Been working in sanford for the week and so happen to stop in this morning for a sammich, this is an adorable cafe I love the... lighting the staff were very kind and made sure our orders were right. Although the food was delicious, the staff need some lessons on how to treat people. Not only was there not a sign that said to... "seat yourself," they just let us come in and stand right inside the door for 10 minutes before they said to "sit anywhere."But, what the staff should really do is learn their menu. I ordered a Shrimp sandwich and, it was delicious, but when I askedthe waitress what type of coleslaw they had she just laughed and said "uhhh" like I was asking some ridiculous question. I haveasked this exact question in multiple restaurants and the staff have always given me an answer like "red, white, vinegarbased... etc." This waitress made me feel very uncomfortable with her response and she needs to learn the menu and be moremindful of how she treats her customers. Update: Have been back many times since. Staff is always friendly and food is good.They welcome you by telling you to sit anywhere you?d like. Super cute local diner. Read more
This place is "out there." It is about 11 miles south of Graham, NC, on Hwy. 87 South. It's a typical southern cafe. The menu is... limited. Breakfast is served until 11:00am. We had lunch. My grilled shrimp was very good. I'm not a fan of coleslaw, buttheirs is homemade and some of the best I've had. The cafe was spotless. The staff was friendly and helpful. Read more
Y'know...I was surprised by this little dive. I had lunch with a close friend and we had a combo of tuna salad, egg salad, and... chicken salad, on a modest bed of iceberg lettuce. It wasn't anything spectacular, but just plain good. And I also ordered aburger, to go, which was excellent! Prices are just fine for the value. Service was terrific. Read more
