Reviews for Lumpia House in Goose Creek, SC
The lumpia took 6 min to heat and was about $8 for a half dozen. They were a lot smaller than I expected and there wasn't a lot... of dipping sauce. They still hit the spot though and it was located in an Asian grocery store. Read more
Food was okay, people were very pleasant. Definitely didn't get everything I ordered and paid for, though. Hard to let that... slide. Read more
Just found this place not too long ago looking for "Lumpia" because we just love them! Anyhow, the food they prepare is delish,... but be sure to shop around for others things, and don't be afraid to try something new! Read more
Enjoyed the friendly staff and amazing food. Will definitely come back to get more delicious Filipino food.
My new favorite place to come find Asian inspired flavors for my cocktails. Customer service is great and the prices are just... like I like them. Read more
There's so many awesome items in their grocery shop! Their lunches and dinners are good, too. The only negative is I had no clue... what most items were unless it clearly was written on the item. (the same with price) Go visit!!! Read more
First time eating in this place. Only one word can really describe it: HORRIBLE. I want to start with how the food is so bland.... I had the menudo, Kare kare, and dinuguan. The broth was so thin, and lacked some ingredients. The kare kare was EXACTLY likethe menudo except for the meat. Literally cooked the same base, but changed the meat. And the dinuguan was greasy! I can see theoil separating from the food. I also tried their pancit and it was terrible. Bland, dry, and oily. I even took a picture of howsmall that portion is. For 7$, that's what you get. I also tried the fried rice and it is the WORST fried rice I've everpurchased. It's literally just white rice with soy sauce and oil drizzled on it. No vegetables or meat in it. I tried theirlumpia. Even my husband was disappointed. His first bite and he says "it tastes off.. like plastic." Even my 2 year old wouldn'teat it.... I'm so disappointed. Second, I want to say how the food is really overpriced. Small portions for such an expensiveAWFUL- tasting food! When you first come in the store, you don't even see any pictures of the food, nor is the food displayedon front of you, like how it normally is in other Filipino restaurants. It's like they're hiding something in how they preparetheir food. So really, you don't know what to expect when you get the food. I'm born and raised from the Philippines andexperienced MANY Filipino food here in the states. This is by far my worst experience when it came to Filipino food. Read more
Tried this place for the first time today and it is not bad. I think I like their lumpia better than Lola's but not as much as... Lam's Garden. They are flaky, crisp, and well-prepared, but not as flavorful as Lam's. The Chicken Adobo was very tender andyummy. The flavor was more subtle than I anticipated, but it was a nice mild dish. The pork sticks were a little tough andovercooked, but the char and the glaze was delicious. The shrimp were fresh and light, but again didn't have a lot offlavor. The Boba tea is just as you would expect, with nice springy Boba. The Turon dessert could benefit from a warm caramelsauce or something, I ended up drizzling a little Carolina Reaper Jalapeño Peach sauce on them, which helped to brighten themup. Read more
