This place was a wonderful surprise. We never thought to eat here despite having moved into the area 5 years ago. We were... greeted by the manager who was extremely professional and welcoming. The service was excellent! She even reminded us that we had about 3 minutes left to order from the lunch menu. Gilligan's had... been very consistent over the years with the she crab soup. Gilligan's is an absolute must if you are in the area! They were short staffed when I visited but they did everything they could... to accommodate. The bartender took tables to help. She was great! The owner/manager was assisting as well. He even noticed myserving of collard greens was a bit "stemmy" so he brought me another serving. BTW...the collards are delicious! The HoneySalmon dish and corn were just as tasty. Had me dancing in my seat. Great job Gilligan's! If I'm in the area again, I'lldefinitely be back. Read more

The food was disgusting. The red rice was hot like they dumped all the black pepper in the pot the shrimp was supposed to have... been grilled but it looked like they may have been boiled and then put on the grill to get a little bit of sear playing the fishwas not cooked totally on one thicker portion and the scallops were overcooked. I mean we all know they are understaffed. Patience is the key. Contradicting to others negative comments, I had a wonderful... meal from this branch. Server Jojo was very attentive and nice. Food was very good. And the wait was not that bad at all. Iwould rather visit this branch than the moncks corner one. The latter is usually packed and busy and loud. If it is the qualitythat makes this branch lesser busier, I would definitely disagree with that based off of my experience. And yes, we willdefinitely come back. Read more
