Visiting from New Hampshire, I Ordered Hibachi grilled steak & shrimp. It was fabulous.their white sauce is impeccable.
Seemed like decent prices but no one liked a single thing we got here. Worst fried rice I've ever had!
I will never dine here again personally- I ordered Singapore Mei Fun, Chicken wings and spring rolls- I ended up throwing it ALL... AWAY!! The noodles included curry seasoning- which didn't state that on menu and left a very distinct yellowish coating on mytongue- that I could literally scrap off! The chicken had an odd coating after being fried..almost like DAYS old batter was usedon some REALLY low quality chicken! Then the Spring Rolls..they tasted low quality, cheap, and processed. Occasionally, I crave some good "American" Chinese food. Hopefully, anyone getting it knows it isn't the healthiest but I also... know that's usually not why anyone gets it. This location is great. I can recommend the Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, andGeneral Tso's Chicken. Ordering online, you can also add egg to your fried rice, among many other options. Very convenient. Got Steak Hibachi? steak was chewy and cold and had absolutely no flavor. Ordered drinks and got the wrong drinks. Also ordered... chicken on a stick? same thing, no flavor. Read more
I have been going to Ocean island in goose creek for 12 years. I always try different Chinese spots but they always let me down.... Usually it?s the quality of the food, that it isn?t fresh. Today I decided to try a different spot for the first time in a longtime. China Gourmet ended my 12 year stent!!! It was amazing! Definitely the best spot around. You get great quality and amountfor the price! It tasted extremely fresh. Will be back a lot. Read more
Very disappointed. The cream cheese wontons didn't have any cream cheese in them. It was just fried wonton wrapper with some... sort of seasoning inside.. I did not get the correct rice, ordered regular fried rice and got shrimp fried rice. The sweet andsour chicken was over cooked and the chicken was rock hard and made it difficult to eat. The rice is Japanese hibachi styledfried rice, not the typical Chinese yellow rice. the general tso's chicken was fine, had good flavor and cooked well. Forspending over $60 for two people, I expected a much higher quality of food. If this style Chinese is up your alley, you may likeit. This is the best place to get any Chinese takeout! They service is wonderful they are very professional and extremely nice. I... usually order for delivery and they are always fast but I have no problem waiting for them. Food is always delicious, hot andthey have huge servings I usually have leftovers for two days after and even the leftovers are still good. I don't go anywhereelse so glad they are close! Read more
