We stopped in after a warm morning/afternoon for some food and a shake. We went through the drive through because we wanted to... get on the road to return home. Ordered our food. It was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. A very pleasant experienceconsidering we were hot and tired and just wanted to be home. The staff was kind and courteous and got us on our way swiftly. Ialso am an employer and know how hard it is to find good people. Keep it up Steak&Shake Goodland, you?re doing a great job! Read more
This was a great place to eat. The food was very good. However we brought 21 people and so the wait was a little bit longer than... usual but I wouldn't fault them for that trying to feed 21 people in a timely manner is hard and they did a very good job. Theyalso continued to have a drive up window and other people come in and they were able to handle everyone. The restrooms are cleanand well kept even as busy as they were. The restaurant is well managed and very clean. There is handicap accessibility. Thereis large parking we were able to park a charter bus. The people working there were kind and helpful. I would go back to thisplace if I was traveling through the area. Locals I bet this is one of your favorite places. Read more
Let me know if you heard this story before. Waited 10 minutes to be seated. It took 15 minutes before our order was taken. Our... food didn?t arrive for an hour. The top of the bowl of chili was hot. The bottom of the bowl was cold. They do say cold airdrops. Listen to this review and all of the other reviews left in the last six months: DON?T EAT HERE!!! Read more
Good food, if you get it. Went into the restaurant twice, sign days wait to be seated but nobody will seat you, you will wait... fifteen minutes for someone to come and take your order only to walk to the front to place an order and be told to go sit downagain to wait for someone to come take your order. The server will seek friendly but then she will "forget" your order, you willwait for an hour only to notice everyone else that came in after you getting served their food while you go without. When youpoint this out the server will get snappy with you. I left and went to a different restaurant and got my food faster there thanI would have of I had stayed. It is inexcusable that at a place that only serves burgers that other people who ordered after youget their food first especially when your order is smaller. Read more
Just had a wonderful 1st time visit at Steak n Shake in Goodland, KS. The staff here, especially our server Melissa, was very... courteous, nice and really friendly. She recommended the Garlic Burger and im a plain jane person, but she definitely won meover with this burger! This is a Great place to eat at and we will definitely be back!!! Thanks so much!!! Nice place to stop for food while traveling. Its a sit down fast food restaurant. I had the double steakburger which was... delicious. The food was made fresh and quick. We order the $4 meals which are a great deal! Read more
Came at 345pm on a Wednesday as we were passing through town. 2 cars in front of us in drive through but only took about 5... minutes. We went across the street first for gas and the place looked closed, but after reading reviews figured just diningroom was closed and it was, due to limited staff. They are allowing walk ups through the drive through as well though. Howeverour order was accurate, fresh and hot. The lady working was very friendly and even offered us some pup cups for our dogs. Wetook one for them to share and they devoured it. I understand some times places have bad days or just bad staff (or even lackof staff) and based off some of the recent reviews you may be reluctant, but I'd give them a chance, we had a good experience. Fairly slow when we arrived. Not very many people around 1:45p. Quick to be seated when we entered. Ordered four waters, one of... our waters had reminisce of ice cream or butter on the inside of the glass. The waitress went ahead and compensated and took theentire meal off our ticket when we asked for a new water. The service was good, along with the food. Flies however are overtaking the inside. Constantly having to shoo away flies off your food. Crickets are also all over. I'm not sure if this is howit always is but, as a pass through place to eat when traveling.
