Guess it's better to go early in the day? The girl at the takeout register had an attitude for some reason, we asked for... lemonade and then saw their container was just sitting out next to the register covered in foil. We ordered boneless lemonpepper chicken (because she said chicken was all they were making) only to recieve flavorless salty burnt chicken pieces. Food was excellent! I had the Senior Boil, it came with a lot; a lot of crab legs, alot of sausage, shrimp, potatoes, corn, and... best of all A Lot of Flavor! Beats any boil I have eaten at the coast n for half the price! Staff was very friendly! Onlycritiques I have is maybe update it a little, polish or refi is some of the wood and definetely the bathrooms. Also I'm not abig fan of plastic cutlery n cups. All-in-all we recommend. There are very few places in Goldsboro that are open on a Sunday night and Pier 34 was one of the few options. Pier 34 is that... strange architectural wonder in the Lowe's parking lot that resembles a ship and in my 20 years living in this town I've onlybeen in once before when it was called something else. The Google reviews were all over the place and I was not sure what toexpect but I was definitely not disappointed. I had one of the best Margaritas I've ever had in a restaurant! This is notexaggeration. I usually only have them at home because they are mostly just margaritas mix, but this one was perfect! I stuck tothe appetizers and ordered the fried pickles and the Firecracker Shrimp. Both were excellent. The pickles came out fast... theshrimp took about 20 minutes but were definitely worth the wait. The bartender, Destiny was wonderful and friendly. You getthe feeling that the people who work there really like their jobs. A quick note on the decor... it's a very large strange placethat suffers from someone's decor decsions from a couple decades ago. And it could use a coat of paint in few places. But I'mless worried about that than the quality of the service and food ... Both of which were excellent. May be helpful to mentionthat they have karaoke on Thursday nights. Read more
Waitress was GREAT! The was was NOT so great...Hushpuppies were hard. Loaded fries were okay, just too much seasoning. The... flounder was okay. Was a little dry and also too much season. I'm pretty sure the seasoning was old bay. Overall OKAY..Thewaitress was the BEST PART. Read more
Michelle our waitress is the best !! She gave great suggestions on this amazing fried crab legs with the Pier 34 dipping sauce.... OMG they were delicious! Her personality and fast service make us want to come back tomorrow night. The senior crab boil wasvery flavorful and cooked perfectly. Can't wait to try the strawberry crunch cheesecake when we get home that Michelle suggestedas well. My wife and I had a great date night !! Read more
It?s a lovely place, you definitely get the vibes of your on a ship. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat... promptly. It wasn?t busy but we did wait about 25 minutes for them to get our drink order and food. I ordered the Jr Crabboil. Let me tell you! It was amazing!!!!! My friend ordered the same but with lemon pepper flavoring. Spot on! The crab boilwas really good. We also ordered hush puppies and fried pickles. Trinity was my waitress and she was fantastic. I ordered the shrimp basket with cold slaw and French fries. Let me tell you,... there is not better they could have done to make it taste better. The fries were consistent and coated lightly with some sort offlavorings which makes it some of the best fries that I've eaten. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The only thing thisrestaurant needs is a wheel barrel to help you get out the door. Seriously folks, excellent food at an excellent price. Read more
This was my first time coming to Pier 34 Seafood and Pub but it will not be my last. 5-star experience. I should have taken more... pictures but at the time the staff greeted us and we were seated promptly. Our meal (Gator Bites, 2 orders, and 2 Trout andShrimp Baskets with corn ????) was very well seasoned, hot, fresh, and definitely filling.
