Enjoyed lunch with my wife here. Ordered the Scoot Bowl which is beans, macaroni and cheese, brisket, onions. Shared a side of... potato salad and hush puppies. Banana Pudding Pie for dessert. I promised myself whenever heading to or from VA Beach that I would stop to eat here. Soooo glad I did. Everything, and I mean... everything was delicious. They made you feel welcomed from the moment you walked in. The atmosphere is very family friendly,and the outdoor seating is very relaxing. I tried this place several times in their first year and finally found something worth eating, the fried fish!?! Not so good for... a BBQ joint. Tried again and, to my dismay, the sides are a little better than the BBQ. Had a 1/2 rack of St Louis Style ribswhich were very dry and lifeless. The sauces were good and I'll bet the ribs were good off the smoker, but that must have beenquite a while ago. The Onion Rings were in the same boat, probably good hot, but.... Wish I could endorse this place as a BBQjoint, but if you want good seafood, this is the place! Read more
