I brought my mom here because i heard the fish and chips were good. The food was actually very good. We got there and were... seated at 2:52 pm. We were the only customers in the whole place. I ordered 2 fish and chips baskets for mom and me, plus a BBQsandwich to go. Half way through my meal I notice a chalkboard with " all baskets BOGO 1/2 off starting at 3pm". At no time didthe hostess or server mention any specials or that if we waited 8 minutes we could have received 1/2 off one of our fishbaskets. If the place had been packed, I could understand. We went for first time as we recently moved to Gloucester. Our server, Avery was so kind, outgoing and just in general a... fabulous lady. She very patiently told us about the place & the dishes. When our food came we were surprised at the quality,freshness and quantity! Both the meats & seafood were delish! The leftovers that we took home were actually delicious reheated,which is unusual to me. I'd recommend anyone looking for a nice meal, go there!! Great burgers and even better service! We stopped here a few days ago and our waitress Rileigh was amazing. She recommended a... great burger and was so kind when I dropped my silverware behind the bench. She was very busy but always checked in on us. Iwill be stopping the next time we come through! Very efficient service. I was craving a burger and we hadn't eaten here in a long time, so I was pleasantly surprised to find... out it was burger night and the burgers were discounted. The only thing was that there was an upcharge for our sides and I don'tthink this was indicated on the menu and our server didn't mention it. We both really liked our sides (mac 'n cheese and bakedbeans). We weren't asked how we wanted our burgers cooked but they were tender and juicy. Looks like a dive, but it hits above it's weight class. Shrimp was fantastic, as was the mac & cheese! Ribs were decent, fries... were "fair". Nice atmosphere. Would recommend. $29 including tip for what's pictured (shrimp & ribs platter) Read more
I was excited to eat here and was hoping to find a new addition to my regular eateries list. That didn't happen and, in fact, I... won't likely eat here again. The tea was good, the sandwich decent (cheesesteak) and the onion rings edible. None was worth areturn visit. I do want to add that my hostess/server (she might have been the only employee working outside the kitchen) wasvery friendly, attentive and professional. Disappointing restaurant. Read more
Went on valentines Eve and the waitress was excellent. The ribs and macaroni n cheese were delicious. It was my first time and... the interior was so very comfortable and quaint. I will definitely be going back. Love little local places like this. It is upto us to keep places like this alive n thriving. Read more
