Reviews for Valley Lodge Restaurant in Glenview, IL
Excellent meal, friendly staff, great atmosphere. BBQ ribs were really good as was the turkey burger and the chicken noodles... soup. Will be going back next time I'm out there. Read more
Server friendly and was attentive until place filled up quickly. But food was disappointing for me. Hand cut potato chips cooked... in old oil, very off-putting. In the Crispy Tavern Shrimp Wrap, the shrimp was not crispy nor was it even fully cooked. Otheringredients missing like Sriracha aioli and green onions. However, friend ordered French onion soup that she said was deliciousand her bacon wrapped shrimp was cooked well. Not a great food experience for me so probably won't be back. Read more
Great location with good food. My only complaint was that it gets very noisy and it can feel crowded. It looks like they are... adding a dining room in the back so that should help! I had the chicken Parm and it was very good ???? Read more
Excellent!! Highly recommend. I?ve been twice for lunch in the past 6 months or so & both visits were very good experiences.... Seated immediately, had 1/2 order Chopped Salad with grilled chicken. DELICIOUS!! Very good service, fresh food, chicken juicy &cubed - just YUM. Only wish they had a balsamic vinaigrette (didnt care for house vinaigrette, but they happily provided a diffoption). Don?t remember the cost. For me, if it?s really good food & service, Cost is not a big concern (unless it?soutrageous). Read more
Menu was basic and unexciting for prices. Server was inattentive. My husband ordered soup and they told us bread had to be... requested. Had to request our bill from a different server because ours was too busy making a drink. Ambience was not greateither. I felt like I was at a retirement community Read more
Much improved after Covid. Not best value for food and drink but cocktails are stiff and food is very good with generous... portions. You're also paying a premium for a excellent veteran staff of servers bartenders, and cooks who deliver on a nightlybasis. There is room for improvement here but still a very good and well run operation with a loyal bar crowd. Read more
Saganaki burger. What a concept! All the food tasted great, including the salad (it's not that easy to make an above average... salad). It also has a really warm, festival vibe to it which was really nice. The negroni was a little too sweet though. Read more
Been going to Valley Lodge for a while now, and always enjoy the comfortable atmosphere and food. My sirloin was ground up... sirloin meat mashed into a piece of meat, which was unexpected as I don?t believe it said it on the menu. Everyone I was withenjoyed their meal but I would have liked to have known that it was not typical sirloin. Read more
