So tonight was a 1st, we decided to get Speedys to go. We come in here 2 to 3 times a week and have never been disappointed... until tonight. Getting a small order to go that still ended up being $50 for 2.5 entrees (Nachos, enchiladas, kids burger and amargarita), I asked for extra chips and salsa. The wife always uses salsa on her Nachos and I saw we got just 2 smallcontainers of salsa and one tiny bag of chips. We'll normally go through 2 or 3 baskets of chips while eating our meal. Atfirst, the guy at the counter didn't seem like it would be a problem, after getting the Margarita he comes back and asks "2 bagsof chips and 2 salsas" and I said yes. He then proceeds to tell me it's gonna be an extra $8.50. All of the meal prices havegone up and I have no problem with that, I just think it's ridiculous that you're trying to gauge customers for extra chips andsalsa when you barely give any to begin with. This kind of practice really sours my taste on supporting local restaurants. Thereal kicker is when the guy told me I need to pay extra for the chips and salsa, I said never mind and his words were "she(manager i assume) told me to come up here and TRY to charge for you" as if this was uncommon.
