Not sure who "Shugar" is, but this food definitely looks and tastes like it was made in a Shack. Listen people, Soul Food is to... be made with Soul, not haste. Ingredients wise, it was decent, but using genetically over-sized fat/grizzly turkeychops isnobody's true wish. Rice is the easiest thing to make, yet it was paste and you could not find the gravy. The kicker, whichprompted my review, was that the cabbage had a sour taste, and I had to drop the Browns off at the Superbowl this mornin.. Btw,the Strawberry mush they gave us to replace the Banana pudding (they ran out of) should also just be taken off the menu. I'dnever encourage anyone to exchange any currency (U.S. or otherwise) for food from this establishment. P.S. Yams+too muchnutmeg=Bad taste. Read more

The only thing that was good was the chicken. They put noodle in the potato salad ???? I don't know who thought of that but... please stop immediately. We spent over $50 and I will not be back our oder was supposed to be done at 7:25 we didn't get ituntil 8 we tipped before hand and I honestly wish we didn't. I got so much food! Everything was truly excellent right down to the fried. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was huge and nicely... cooked. Whole chicken wings were great and the cornbread hit the spot to finish it all out. Read more
Excited about having a black owned soul food restaurant in the area.. Super excited about trying the smothered turkey chops. ... As you can see, doesn't look smothered at all. Toooo salty..I couldn't eat another bite. Fried tooo hard. Yams pretty good.Mac n cheese ok. But that can be I was so turned off from the disappointment with the chops. Wasted $$$$. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and polite. Food was made quickly within 20 mins. No wait. However, the food wasn?t... really good. Just ok. The fried fish was good. Seasoned well. The greens were ok. But the potato salad was not good at all. Andthe salad was put in the same container with the hot food. Food safety 101 you can?t place hot and cold food together. I hate to do this to a B.O.B. but I have to be fair and honest. I expected more from this establishment and overlooked the... reviews. But after eating here I am able to draw my own conclusions. The food isn?t desirable. I?m not sure what their renditionof macaroni and cheese is, but, it was hardly edible. As far as the yams and turkey chops, they lacked flavor.
