The pasta and salads are very good but not 5 star quality. I love their cheeseburgers but no one got one this trip.
Every item is the best quality in Chicago, the fries always hit and crispy, the authentic Chicago dogs, the mouthwatering... Italian beef, the juicy sausage, the amazingly smooth shakes, the pasta options are ALL good, the side items are great, it'ssuch a wide selection, and such a wonderful building to spend time in. I will come here 5 days a week from now on. There isalways a wait and I'm never mad about it because the quality if worth everything. The price, the food quality, the staff. I have been to portillos only a handful of times over the years but after just having it again I was impressed. I know you can... get a perfect chicago style hotdog, great tasting ribs, and a very tasty strawberry salad. However, i just ordered thecheeseburger and it was one of the best ive had. Thick soft bun and chargilled patty that was just the right thickness. I alsoordered the big italian beef which was alot of food but not something i would order next time. They have line busting throughthe drive-thru which helps and they were courteous and patient. I forgot to order a drink and they offered me one at no charge.The guy outside the window helping customers was very helpful. Great team, great service, great food! Read more
Perhaps the best place to get a signature Chicago Style Hot Dog in mass quantities. Hand assembled right before your very eyes.... Salads are great but don't forget about the luscious chocolate fudge cake. Always a consistent treat! Read more
The food quality and service has really gone down hill. Drive thru service is terrible. Our last three visits the orders have... been wrong. Cheeseburgers are burnt and burnt bits imbedded in the cheese(see photo). I've lived in the Villa Park area formost of my life and Portillos was always a treat. Not much of a treat anymore. Read more
Portillo's is hands down the best fast food chain in the Chicagoland area. The burgers, hot dogs, Italian beef, French fries,... onion rings, cake shake, and chocolate cake are all amazing in addition to just about everything else on the menu. The serviceis consistently great at this location as it is at every location I have ever been to. The drive thru can take 15+ minutes toget your food at sometimes, but such is life. Read more
Another amazing experience at Portillos! I had to try the cake this time and got a Maxwell Street Polish dog to go with it. Boy... was the polish dog and cake amazing! The quality is consistent between locations which definitely will keep me coming back. Youcan't go wrong with the Italian beef sandwich, the hot dogs, or polish dogs! Read more
It usually pretty good food but lately it?s been really bad and it seems like they don?t care anymore. The two ordered of large... fries I ordered seem like re-heated or have there sitting as it was hard and nasty to eat. Hate to give it to my daughter so itwent to trash, second was this really nasty chicken sandwich seems like they really don?t care? also went to trash. I hate tothrow food away but I rather not get a stomach ache. I hope management pay attention more to this issue. This is not my firstexperience like this and I hate to complain but this is not right. I didn?t even bother going to return this food, waste of mytime not just money. Read more
