Felt mostly like a hot chicken spot masquerading as a sandwich shop. Yes, your sandwich can come grilled, but that's not why... people come here. Everything is served a la carte. Got the nitro fried (essentially the Buffalo chicken sandwich). I wasdisappointed they couldn't be bothered to actually toss the chicken in the sauce, but instead just squirted a lot of sauce ontop mostly ruining the flavor of the slaw that was stacked on top. They toss the tenders to make them "spicy". So I don't seethe issue. The chicken isn't bad; It isn't remarkable either. Though, this place kind of shines when you get to the sides.Everything could stand to be about a dollar cheaper but the tenders are a better deal than the sandwiches. Indoor seating isminimal. Awesome awesome awesome! Had spicy tenders and the Nitro sandwich. The sandwich needed nothing! Crispy chicken, fabulous sauce,... perfectly complementing slaw and soft bun. Service was great. The people working there were super nice and professional. The inside of the place was clean and well... kept. Food was just as good. I got the Wok, which had like a sriracha and honey glaze which was really good. The chicken wascrispy/juicy, and somehow felt a lot less greasy than most places I?ve tried. Fried Nitro Bird Sandwich with Mac & cheese, 3 strips with Chipotle & Garlic aoli & Cheese fries & Dr pepper to wash it all... down. The burger was so delicious! They have a nice chunky piece of meat, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Goodflavor with the sauce and other stuff they add inside. Mac and cheese was cooked well and had good texture just wish it was alittle bit more salty. The strips were delicious too, cook really nice crispy on the outside juicy inside and the chipotle saucewas really good. The garlic aioli was okay, not a huge fan. I wasn't able to eat there but I know if I did it would have tastedthat much better because it was cold by the time I got to eat it. What a hidden gem in Glendale! Rockbird is snuggled in a small plaza not too far from the Americana with limited lot parking,... but plenty of street parking. The interior has a few seats is very clean, but they've also set up plenty of outdoor seating onthe sidewalk. I came here with my girlfriend and got the fried honey bird sandwich with fries while she got the fried woksandwich with Brussels sprouts. While the sandwich is definitely on the pricier side, it's definitely worth it, considering howlarge and delicious the sandwich is. The wok sandwich was seasoned perfectly, but I wish the honey sandwich came with more saucesince it was a little bland. The Brussels sprouts were roasted to perfection and the fries had a unique seasoning that tasted sofamiliar, but I couldn't pinpoint. Overall, we really enjoyed our food and hopefully we'll be back again soon! Read more
Best chicken sandwiches around hands down. Not only are they huge but the flavors are amazing with every ingredient they use.... Popeyes doesn't have anything on this place. Definitely will be adding this restaurant to our monthly diet. Read more
So damn good! ???? First time here and glad I found it. The service was friendly and the food, even better. I got the Baja Bird... (medium heat) with side of Mac n? cheese. The spicyness felt perfect and you have the option to have the chicken fried orgrilled so that?s nice. Overall amazing and look forward to coming back! Read more
