I came here by accident last year after visIting a client down the street. After wolfing down their delicious chicken sandwich,... I asked to speak to the owner and shook his hand, then congratulated him for making the best chicken sandwich in LA. Don't takemy word for it go and try it yourself! It will surely become a weekly affair! The sandwich never makes it out of the parkinglot--it's just that irresistibly good! Their food is top-notch quality! Read more

This is Monta?s second location; their original is located in Pasadena. I am so glad they are able to expand towards Glendale... because If you are familiar with the location then you know this city is culturally and ethnically diverse with those ofArmenian, Iranian and Lebanese decent! With that said their motto is ?Better than your grandmas- She?ll agree!? Manti orpronounced as Monta is a Middle Eastern, European dish which consists of seasoned beef in small squares of dough, pinched at theends, lined in a tray, baked till crisp finally topped off in a tomato and garlic yogurt sauce. I should?ve also ordered thetheir other special the Su Beoreg, a cheese dish or casserole depends on who you?re asking. But I think this would have pairedwell with the Monta. I just had lunch but I couldn?t pass up the opportunity to try something new. I called in advance and theorder was ready in 10 mins, I asked for the sauces to be on the side because I wanted to try each ingredient separately prior toadding the sauces to the dish. The Monta was absolutely delightful, crispy on the out side and very flavorful inside. The garlicyogurt sauce was good unfortunately, the tomato sauce was lacked flavor. I?m not sure if it?s supposed to taste like that but itneeded some seasoning salt. I personally enjoyed the dish with the sauces on the side, when I added to the Monta it made thedish soggy (But I?m sure that?s the way its originally eaten) nonetheless, I would love to come back and try the Beoreg and theSalmon Sando! Food is ok. I've been meaning to stop by for so long so when I finally did, I got a lot of of everything. The Monta are just ok.... In my opinion there is too much dough around the meat. You can't even taste it, all I could taste was the spices. I also triedthe garlic soup and I ended up throwing it away. Tasted like hot yoghurt to me. I decided to try the Monta burger and that wasalso disappointing. Again, too many herbs and seasonings, couldn't get any flavor from the meat itself. The only thing that Ithought was ok was the cheese boreg. Maybe Armenian food isn't for me but I just wasn't a fan of this place. Read more

Delicious! Never had monta before - you can think of them as small open-faced potstickers. They're tasty and easy to share... meatballs surrounded by phyllo dough. I had the Hungry meal which was good for one person. Then I was invited to a potluck forwhich the Hangry meal was perfect! Read more

Decided to try this place as a suggestion from a friend. Glad we did! The food was tasty and the staff took the time to explain... the different foods. Friendly people that work there! There was indoor dining or you could sit out on the covered patio. Read more

Stopped in here on a whim. We had no idea what a "monta" was... We now know that they are Middle Eastern dumplings known as... manti. Each square of dough gets a filling that consists of ground beef, red onion, salt and pepper, then the sides of the mantiare folded together. The interconnected dumplings are seasoned with sumac and red pepper before being ripped with spicy pepperpaste and/or tangy yogurt-based garlic cream sauce. YUMMY. Please support this small business.
