2 days ago I went bowling I'm not into the money you know is not going to effect to me $70 I'm not going to get poor or rich but... I'm going to tell my experience so I paid in the beginning we went inside as we didn't know it to many peoples it will be anddecided to leave as too many peoples we think our health as not being sick from flue because other hand now days covid casesgoing up also it was birthday event celebration too, other hand next day we have work.. So We decided to leave and We requestour money back , we said we didn't touch anything even we didn't played any certain game we came just came now. And I requestedto speak with manager , manager came I don't know what was the name. He said unfortunately We can't give you refund. I said wedidn't even touch any game we just came right know and we leaving and I started explain why we leaving. And he started saying nowe can't give you refund this that. There's no refund ! , I said how come if there's no refund if we didn't played , also Imentioned if we played a second and I don't request a refund but at this moment we didn't played nothing we just came in now andwe leaving it. and then he started saying on receipt saying no refund this that is the policy. Any way. In my opinion That's nottrue to not give the money even specially didn't played is just my opinion Even he didn't offered 50% to give refund or somecredit you know. I think they don't have great customer service. I recommend to not visit this bowling if ur not sure ur notgoing to stay a min after paying I don't know it was just my experience. I remember I visit Vegas restaurant In glendale , wepayed in the beginning $90 it was buffet we went inside we turned around we look food almost 5 min we didn't like it we wentout , we said can we have refund we didn't like it. Came here for a birthday party. This place is dated and needs updates but I guess it gets the job done. Bowling balls are... definitely old and worn down. I couldn?t find a ball in decent shape and shoes are old and worn. But all in all, everything?technically? worked. Wouldn?t come back here though. Read more

Jewel City Bowl had a normal busy day just like before the Pandemic hit companies' businesses. I'm glad they are still in... business and still have good customer service. Did a birthday party bowling and something when wrong with the scoreboard system. It gave everyone free points and Jewel City Employees fixed it and gave us more free time for the trouble. Read more

I like Jewel city. It's a chill family oriented bowling place. They have a fun arcade and full bar too. Although, It's pretty... silly they don't let you buy pitchers of beer, but you can have pitchers of pop on the lanes. Read more

My favorite bowling alley in Los Angeles! A great balance of the well oiled lane / talented bowlers space, with the family fun /... chicken fingers space. Everyone who works here is super nice, and they've got all types of leagues for all types of bowlers. Read more

We had an amazing time at Jewel City Bowl. It's not as flashy as these newer alleys; but what it lacked in flash, it made up in... hospitality, great food, great bar (and after 9) karaoke. Fuma was wonderful. Vance and Skylar were great! We had a super funfather's day outing there. Also, the dads bowled for free Read more

Be prepared for a possible 2 hour wait on weekends! So this place is also called Back Alley Bowling so it can be confusing but... it?s the same place. Overall this place was fun and my friends and I had a blast! There was a live MC for some reason thatorchestrated little games and contests! They even gave away a free trip to Vegas as one of the prizes, the music was good andplace was clean. The 2 hour wait without really any warning or way to know that that would be a possibility and the fact thatthey only give you 10 minutes after you receive the text that tells you your lane is open is the only reason why I didn?t givethis place 5 stars. Also, just so you know, the parking is set up really weird because it seems like they share a parking lotand get to use it on the weekends so even though the sign clearly says jewel city bowling parking it still didn?t feel clearthat we should park there because almost all the spots said reserved and there is a gate that opens at the other end. Meh. Went on a Tuesday evening. It was very expensive for what it was, and what it was wasn?t great. It?s definitely cheaper to... pay by the game than by the hour. Our lane had wet paper towels all over the approach, and under the ball return. Floor wassticky. Food took nearly an hour, and was not great. Cheese fries are disgusting. Cheese is so cheap it doesn?t even melt.Chicken tenders are nothing but cheap, overcooked bread. Regular fries were really good with one meal, and overdone with thenext. Fry seasoning was great. $50 for bar food for 3 people is outrageous. Credit card machines preposterously suggest a 30%tip on top, down to 20% in the three options. 30% tips are for spectacular service at a fine dining restaurant, absolutely notfor someone to deliver overdone fries on paper. Staff was friendly enough, but not enough to make me spend another hundredbucks for 3 people to eat trash food and bowl for an hour. Read more
