Decided to try Shane's rib shack since we were near the Westgate district.... Referred by a friend for their ribs. So let's... start there, the ribs had really great flavor. Meat falling off the bone (only problem the bone was also falling off the bone????). So every few bites I would get a piece of bone in with my ribs. On the platter we also tried the bbq chicken and bbq porkboth of which were just ok. Really hoped that the bbq pork had a better flavor,it just fell flat. The chicken tenders were atthe bottom of the barrel ,no flavor and chicken was tuff. Service was okay, cleanliness was below average. Food is good very good. Price is a bit high. It's busy but not much of a wait for carry out. I will be eating here more often.
Ordered online. Order was prompt and accurate. Had the chicken salad which was amazing as it was nice big pieces of chicken and... you could tell it was made fresh on site not prepacked. Friendly staff and clean establishment. Read more
Been coming here for about 10 years now. Very convenient while working on campus. Had the BBQ Nachos. I usually get these. This... time they forgot at add the jalapeños. Really wanted to buy a t shirt from the display at the entrance but was informed thatthey do sell the shirts. Bummer. Read more
Everything we ordered was delicious. Quick service and very friendly staff.
I ended up at Shane's because the place I wanted to go started closing at 4 during the week. Big mistake. Ordered 2 All... Americans, a Cowboy burger and 2 sides of fries. Got the order home, about a mile away, and discovered the fries were cold. Notlukewarm after trip type cold but cold. No warmth. Opened up the burgers and low and behold, no Cowboy Burger. I really don'tfeel like driving back and complaining so I'm doing it here. I included a pic of the fries that I won't be eating. Read more
Had the half rack platter and it was good. The hush puppies are delicious and I was pleased with the meal. The "Texas toast" was... just buttered bread though, very disappointed with that. It wasn't at all toasted. The pork was tender and the bones came outclean. The BBQ sauce was more vinegary than I like, I tend to like sweeter BBQ sauce, but I would order from here again. Read more
It's BBQ, mistakenly expected it to be good. Ordered the shack sampler platter. Chopped chicken and ribs with fries and Mac and... cheese. Mac and cheese was over cooked and bland. Utilizing the suppliers boxed brand? The fries had a healthy mix of shriveledovercooked fries added to the portion making for a quick decision to not waste the stomach space. The chicken had good flavor,but a little on the wet side with an interesting thin, watery sauce. Ribs were good, a little heavy on the fat and barely anybbq sauce, but good flavor. Fountain drinks, various tea options. Interesting packets of condiments ranging from fancy brownmustard to relish. Why no BBQ sauce at a restaurant that sells BBQ? Had an interesting experience with an employee deciding tostack as loudly as possible the used metal trays at the trash, then leave them. A person I'm guessing was a manager (because ofthe question), but not wearing anything indicating she was even an employee, which tells me they either care about the patronsexperience, or their forced to ask.
