Cheaper than expected and super flavourful! The macaroni has too much mayo for my taste but the Kailua pork was to die for.
pay no mind to the haters... this is a good little spot to stop for a decent meal at a reasonable price. I work at home... permanently so the only time the world sees me is when I venture out of the cave for food. Love Hawaiian is right up the streetand I hit up their lunch special frequently. It's an awesome deal as the food quality is much higher than anything else you'llget in the $10-$16 range in this neighborhood. People often compare them with Ono Hawaiian BBQ and I'd say they're very similar,but I feel Love BBQ has more flavor. Ono's food is kind of bland and relies heavily on their sauce table. Love BBQ definitelyhas the better atmosphere. While Ono is manned by a bunch of angry teenagers, Love BBQ is family owned and operated. I'mfrequently served more timely with a better attitude. I adore the couple that runs this joint, they're sweet people that aretruly invested in your experience and it's evident in their work. They obviously appreciate getting business, whereas thechildren at big chain restaurants like Ono just want you to die and stop ordering food. lol... The dining room is always clean,the music and atmosphere are chill, and the food is delicious. Never mind it's one of the few places that have decent sweettea... Is it the best BBQ I ever had? nah, but it's certainly one of the best restaurants I've visited. It's easily one of myfavorite places to eat in this neighborhood. If you were visiting and I took you out someplace nearby, Love Hawaiian BBQ is verylikely where I'd take you. Read more
Loved this place! We had the cabbage pork bowl, the teriyaki beef bowl, and the bbq chicken bowl. All were delicious and looked... great too! We actually ate here two different nights because it was so good and easy. The first night we got it after we hadlanded and got to the rental house. The second time was when we had spent the day hiking Diamond Head and swimming in HamaeniBay. We were tired and the kids asked if we could have that again. The other night I picked up a delivery for Uber Eats and I was taking awhile to arrive because I had other orders to deliver... first. Well when I get there they were closing up and a thin elderly man comes out furious because he said he was waiting toolong for me to pick the order which I get of course but he didn?t have to be so rude and try to start an argument. I wouldn?trecommend eating at a place where staff is rude and hopefully customers don?t get the same treatment! (Btw @ the owner thatreplied I?m a teacher who does Uber Eats part time just for extra cash so no you don?t pay my bills. Orders have to be deliveredin a specific order before being able to move onto the next. The guest who I delivered to had no problem with their order beingdelivered a little late because they understood & even gave a good tip! Next time be kind to people because if you talk tosomeone else the way you were talking to me they won?t handle it in a kindly manner.) Read more
This place is quick, local, kind and authentic. Sometimes it's not as fast especially during lunch so it pays to order ahead but... the food quality and customer service is unbeatable. Great place to eat! Go there now! Hawaiian BBQ is great ! Read more

This was our first visit here. Saw the reviews on Google and thought it might be worth the drive. It was definitely worth it!... The chicken is prepared right when you order it so it's nice and fresh! The flavor is outstanding, we ordered the grilledHawaiian chicken. The meal came with macaroni salad and a side of rice. The portion was a generous amount, enough for the two ofus to share. We will definitely be back! Read more
