I found out about this place from the famous TV show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and I really wanted to try. It's an authentic... Italian restaurants with a good variety in their menu. I tried the house salad that comes with the red wine vinaigrette made inhouse and the Salvatore pizza. Both were delicious, service was friendly and quick! Quicker than I expected. This has been my favorite pizza place for years now. I would go to the Glendale one every now and then, but mainly the Downtown... location for lunch. Even Mateo, the waiter, knew me. Sad to say, this place has gone down quite a bit. We ordered two pizza?sand both were undercooked from the bottom but had a burnt crust somehow. Immediately after lifting a slice, all the sauce,cheese, and meat fell off. Pizza?s use to be cut into eight slices and now it?s just four, making for huge slices whereeverything falls off even easier. I know the pandemic hasn?t been kind to local business?, and that most restaurants areunderstaffed. I truly hope this place goes back to its roots and continues to be the awesome place it has been before. Read more
