I was aware of this restaurant for a while, and I love sushi, but for some reason I never ate here. Boy, was that a mistake! ... This place is incredible. A really different twist on sushi, with fish I've never seen offered in other places. I cannot waitto return. Read more

Can I give Haru 100 stars!? This place is our spot! We are super picky sushi eaters. We have also had sushi in Japan and this... place is right up there with that amazing quality. We always judge our sushi restaurants by the quality of the Sashimi andthere?s is by far the best we?ve had. The squid salad is also to die for! We can?t eat sushi any place else! Read more

This place is awesome. Everything a sushi place should be! As soon as you walk in the door you are welcomed by everyone,... including the chefs! The service is excellent and the sushi is spot on! Prices aren't bad at all considering it'sauthentic. Even when we were done and leaving out the door the entire staff again said thank you and to please come back. Thisis now my spot! Thank you HARU SUSHI for the incredible experience! Read more

When you have family members in San Diego who've been doing sushi since 1983, I tell you that this place is legit. Fish is... fresh, rolls are original and great selection of saki. Happy to find this place here in NW area. Read more

Fun place? Small, clean, casual. The waitress was so nice and welcoming. We were there on a night that happened to be a... basketball championship game. The owner, a Golden State Warrior fan, was having a blast, as were his sushi chefs. Talking toeveryone at their tables, while cheering for the Warriors. Ordered an expensive bottle of sake ????. It was so refreshing and smooth. Our rolls were fabulous as well. Really glad this place is close to our home. We will be back. Read more

I have been going here semi regularly for over a year now after my boss recommended it. It?s a mile from my work and 6 miles... from my home. I have to gone to all the other sushi places near by and this is now my favorite. Sakana Sushi at 59th ave andthe 101 was my favorite before this. Haru 1A and Sakana is 1B in my eyes. I love how consistent they are in their food. Nomatter what day or time I come it I know what to expect when I order. Always the same consistency and quality. I can come in fora quick lunch during the week or Friday evening to really treat myself it?s always of great quality. My favorite time being onmy birthday last year where I ordered the chef choice sushi plater and got a huge bowl of about all they had to offer. Reallytreated myself that time. The staff, servers and chef are always friendly and engaging. Always want to make sure you have thebest experience. My favorite times to visit are either Monday for lunch since it is Happy Hour all day or Friday when I get offwork (at 2PM) to start my weekend. All the many pictures I am sharing are from my many different visits. Read more

I expected better. I ordered the flaming lobster (actually langostinos, a much smaller crustacean) and they light it on flames... when serving which is a nice show. However, only the langostinos on top of the roll were tasty. The sushi roll was plain andinsipid which is a huge disappointment for their most expensive roll at $19. I also had the yellowtail shashimi which they didnot serve the best cut as there was some skin left on the pieces and some dark red parts which are not as soft or tasty as therest of the fish. The pickled wasabi (for which they charge an extra $2) was not spicy or particularly tasty. I asked for aSapporo beer (usually about $5) and the waiter said they don?t carry that beer, but offered me an Orion beer which to mysurprise when I got the bill was a whopping $9!!! It was my first visit and was expecting better food and experience. I dinedalone as I?m traveling on business and my bill was $50 for substandard food and experience. Read more
