I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. Was very clean and maintained. The seafood was cooked perfect. I will say at... first. I did not like the seafood as much. Because of the lack of salty seasoning. I had ordered the house sauce and spicy. Itwas barely spicy and I felt it had no flavor. However midway through eating I starting dipping the seafood heavily into thesauce from the steamer bag. The more I at the more I liked the food. And it became more spicy and flavorful. Nice place decor was unique with sea, pirate and fishing boat motif. We went on a Monday around 7:30 pm so it was kind of empty.... DISCLAIMER: This is not a place if you trying be EXTRA cute! We ordered drinks and i ordered the seasonal Sam Adams draft. Now they have two sizes come to find out our server gave methe bigger size unbeknownst to me. She came back apologized profusely for the mistake amd said she would correct it on the nextround, which i didnt get. We had the raw oysters on the 1/2 shell which were good, little small bu none the less, GOOD! Forlike "bread" they had these" shrimp chips. I moved away from Maryland 12 years ago,I came to visit this past week on vacation with my family. I wanted to give my husband... and kids a wonderful hometown experience. After much searching we decided to try this place. You guys did not disappoint,fromthe food to the service to the ambience. The server was super friendly and being their were pretty much no other customers itwas quiet and enjoyable. We ordered quiet a bit of food and even the manager came over and talk to us,and offered us some yummysauces to give with our meal. Unfortunately we weren't able to take home,because we couldn't keep it cold. I highly recommendthis place to anyone looking for a tasty place for a good seafood meal. I enjoyed this experience. I w joy my food more when I eat bare handed when at home so being able to do the same in public is... great. They?ll give you plastic hand gloves and apron to protect clothes from sauce splattering while eating. The hook & reelspecial sauce is so good. I will come back again and again for this. This place was a pleasant surprise! We stopped in with over 60 people after a lacrosse game. The staff was very friendly and... efficient. They were pleasant and the orders were Placed accurately and came very quickly. Everything tasted awesome! Ourwaiter Chris was also incredible. As mentioned previously his orders were accurate and came out very quickly. He was veryattentive and very pleasant. I would highly recommend this place. The food here is AMAZING!! The service is great as well. I am a bit on the picky and particular side and they willingly came to... my table (bartender Aaron, Manager Shannon, and my waitress) to gain understanding so that they could best meet my request.Request granted! The food quality was good, the temperature was perfect, and the timeliness of the food was appropriate. We willbe returning.
