Peter Chang is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Richmond. Every dish was well crafted with full of flavors. The spicy dishes... were spicy but not burning. Their menu filled with a large variety of authentic Szechuan dishes. My family?s favoriteappetizers are Crispy Pork Belly, Dry-Fried Eggplant, and Scallion Bubble Pancakes. Szechuan Double Cooked Pork Belly is one ofthe well known dish, we use it to gage the authenticity of the restaurant. I have to say that they have done a great job. Theyoffers color printed paper menu for one time use to keep the customers safe. Maybe it was due to Monday night and they are notas busy as usual; all occupied tables were at a safe distance. Our waiter was very attentive, he checked with us multiple timesthrough out the meal. If you haven?t been to Peter Chang, I would highly recommend that you give it a try as long as you arenot afraid of trying new things. Please note that the dishes are fairly expensive. They only take reservations for four peopleor more. Read more

If I could I would give Peter Chang?s 10 stars. Superb chinese food. They know how to cook hot and spicy food the best. Soups,... bubble pancakes , variety in chicken and tofu recipes and a must order of BAMBOO FISH . Good they recently added friedcauliflower with same flavours of bamboo fish . Read more

Great place. Really clean and has some really good food. Waiters were nice and attentive, and all in all was a really nice... place. Not too fancy or anything but still felt like a good atmosphere. Read more

Easily the best Chinese food in the west end. We got the Szechuan hot pot, and the Hunan beef. Packed with flavor and a... beautiful presentation. Service was top notch. Read more

I absolutely love the cooking style and flavors that you use. But, someone in the kitchen is going overboard with chili peppers... and Sichuan peppers on a few dishes, making them inedible. I cook with szechuan and hot peppers at home, so it is not that I amjust not used to them. I love the warm numbing flavor. On multiple occasions I have been left with tasty food that I can't eatbecause there were too many whole szechuan peppercorns or too many red chilis. This happened even when I asked for it to be mademild. ( I usually order medium or hot at other restaurants) Also, can we get your website updated with the full menu instead ofjust a few signature dishes? ------------------ Thanks for responding and updating the menu! We love Peter Chang. We loved his noodles cafe. We love his cafes in Williamsburg & NOVA. We would eat his food in a box. We... would eat his food with a fox. Even though I have my favorites at each cafe, it's still fun to try new stuff at others. Read more
