Food tastes delicious but it is very little for how expensive it is, there is cheaper around for compatible taste. Their Samosas... were $5.95 for 2! So expensive for so little. We got 2 dishes but the portions were really small and the vegetable quantity wasonly proportionate to 1 dish. Also need to update the prices on the site as it is almost 3 dollars more expensive now. Amazing food. Easily the best Ethiopian restaurant we've been to in the US. The owner/chef sources spices directly from... Ethiopia, uses local organic produce, and makes the injera in house. Family owned and run -- kind, generous, and friendly. Also, easy access from the interstate if you're passing by. Read more

I ordered pick up. There was hair in my food and called to tell the store that I was on my way back and wanted a refund. The... food had not been touched and I was bringing it back. Selam, the cashier was very rude and instantly went to saying how I leftthe store and she wasn’t refunding me despite me not touching or trying to keep the food. I get there and the door is lockedduring their open business hours which it wasn’t locked when I went to pick up initially, only after I called. She comes tounlock the door and starts asking where is the hair. I show her THREE TIMES where the hair is and she keeps saying she doesn’tsee it. I showed her the picture and video I took. I have bright orange hair and she has brown and black. So she tries tosneakily wipe the hair off as if she wasn’t right in my face. Then after going back and forth with me for about 5 minutes, shestarts yelling “you just want your money back, you just don’t want the food” um yeah..because it has hair in it and if youknew what i wanted why not just do that from the beginning?? I won’t even attempt to eat here again. How are you upset whenyour business is unsanitary. It would’ve went differently if she would’ve just given me my refund from the beginning. Read more

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful for new diners. He instantly recognize one of our dinner guest and helped the rest... of it work through the menu. The ordering process is based around a commune eating experience. Everyone orders but all the mainscome on 1 or more plates with an assortment of sides. Injera bread which is the rolls and the thing the food is servered on isused as utensils. You grab a little bit of it and grab the sides & mains with it. All the food is delicious and unique. Awonderful experience. The wait is a little bit long but it's only a couple workers working and it's a wonderful diningexperience. Read more

Stopped at Gojo for dinner while on a weekend trip to Richmond. The food and service were outstanding! There were also numerous... options for vegans. If you're new to Ethiopian cuisine, I highly recommend the combination platter. You will not bedisappointed! Read more

Service: 10/10 Very nice lady and excellent service Cleanliness: 10/10 Everything was spotless, smelled great and clean Staff:... 10/10 The lady who served us was very polite and professional. She was also willing to answer questions about theculture. Atmosphere: 10/10 Very nice, although it was considered higher end compared to the average restaurant in Addis, itstill had the feel and made me really homesick for Ethiopia. Busy: 2/10 There was only one other couple there when I was there,I came at 11:30am right when they opened Value: 6/10 The prices were kinda high, but that's probably due to availability, andthere's only a handful of Ethiopian restaurants in the area. Overall: 10/10 Highly recommend this place for authentic Ethiopiancuisine, friendly atmosphere and just an amazing place to try something new if you've never had injera or this type offood. Much love to the owners ??????? Read more

This was my first time ever eating Ethiopian food and I loved it. We went for the lunch buffet which was not very vegetarian... friendly but they immediately offered to let us order off the regular menu. We went with the Vegetarian Combination that camewith 9 different items served on Injera (the Ethiopian flat bread) and a large platter. The food was delicious. We didn’t loveeach item but between the two of us we finished the entire platter and left full. Read more
