Have only stopped here a few times and each time is enjoyable. We always manage to meet new people either locals or people... passing through. Met a couple that drove from Minoqua that found Derek's once before while just passing thank came back becausethe food, drinks and atmosphere was so nice. Truly a diamond in the rough???? Read more

Have had a place in the North Woods for over 15 years, constantly checking for the best Upnort Perch Fish fry. It all ended... tonight! Got the Captain Platter. It di not disappoint. Typical up-North bar with usual menu. Good specials during the week. $1 burgers on Wednesdays.
Between cook and bartender, both times we were there they screwed order up. Other than that food was great.
Owners are fantastic and very friendly. Food is amazing and drinks are too
The place just opened up today and had a great experience. The burger was really good and so was the jalapeno poppers. I don't... know how the server did it but she did a great job keeping up with everyone in the bar. Look forward to seeing what specialsthey will have in the future. Read more
