I've been trying to eat at Sakura for the better part of 3 years but my schedule never aligned with their hours of operation.... This latest trip to Alyeska finally yielded some fruit and we were able to dine here. I loved the ambiance and the service wasexceptional! Our waiter knew the menu inside and out and even recommended an entree for our 3 year old that wasn't on the menu.I got an Alaska Lager that paired well with my King Salmon Sashimi. I also loved the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Alyeska Roll! Thequality of the ingredients was excellent. We spent over $200 on a party of 6 which wasn't that expensive. Food was well prepared and fresh, although not outstanding. The service was very good and attentive to a shellfish allergy in... the group. The Vegetable Tempura and the Hustler Roll were my two favorites. The desserts were also pretty good and I wouldrecommend the Yuzu Meringue Tart, which is a little out of the box. Read more

Not recommend the ramen. It doesn?t taste good at all. Wasted $20 bill for that one. Recommend Seaweed salad, Hawaii roll(... cilantro inside, i like this one) miso soup(not recommend, $5 super small bowl without seaweed or tofu inside at all) Magurosushi and unagi sushi are okay to try. Nothing different with other places. The service is very very slow and no checking on usexcept bring bills and waiting for tips. No refills our drinks either. This is super small restaurant. Make sure you are okaywith sitting in a narrow spot and share the table with bunch of strangers. Never been to a Japanese restaurant like this. Butoverall, the food were not bad. Just don?t order the ramen, very Bad one. Not worth the money at all. If you want pork belly orchicken, it will be extra $8 or $9. So the ramen will cost you around $30 but with a very flavorless tasting. Read more

Food was great and the selection was versatile enough for me! I got the Ramen with pork and a crunch roll, while my friends got... the sushi boat. I've gone back several times since! This is our favorite restaurant so far in Girdwood. Other restaurants are nice, but this is the best in my opinion. I don?t... expect good sushi in Alaska as I live in San Diego and lived in NYC before, we have a lot of great Japanese foods there. Butthis is surprisingly good as a restaurant in a resort. I highly recommend Combo boat if you like sushi, the ramen is amazing ifyou love ramen. All the other dishes we ordered are all successful. You should give this place a try! Read more
Food was delicious! I wished they had a bigger menu of items other than sushi. There were no options for bento box other than 1... item.
