Thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips from Kris! After we were done eating, we decided to grab some ice-cream. And guess what is... better than ice-cream! FREE ICE-CREAM!! They gave it to us for free since it was the last ice-cream order of the day @7pm. Stolemy heart???? Read more
Pickerel available gluten free waa a bit overcooked. Regular Pickerel and chips was slightly disappointing. Table was a bit... dirty with lots of flies around. Won't rush back but gf pickeral didn't make wife sick so that's always a good thing. Read more
Location is perfect. Open for dine-in with little seats to obtain the social distancing. Very hospital and helpful staff. You... can pay by credit/debit cards or by cash. Food served hot and with good quality. Don't forget to take some photos with these olddesigns on the walls. Take your soft serve ice cream before leaving. Too bad I didn't have a chance to make a picture of the meals, as soon as the food was brought it was gone ;) We got haddock and... cod meals and it was amazing! 2 large portions is more than enough for three people to share. Fish is very tender and tasty,cooked perfectly. I would add more salt to the fries. I really like the lodge with its rustic look and atmosphere. 3 stars for the fried pickerel fillet, coleslaw and ice cream. You just have to be patient coz I've waited 20-25 minutes before... I got my order. If you can see the photo of my order, I paid $18.75 for 2 scoops of mash potato, 2oz of coleslaw 2 fillets ofpickerel, tiny piece of brown bread, not including drinks and ice cream. Read more
Absolutely incredible fish and chips shop. Quick service, made fresh right on the spot. Options include pan fried or battered.... The fries are amazing and the fish is brilliant. Comes with tartar sauce and pub-style condiments such as white or malt vinegarand ketchup for the fries. A must-stop place for any people visiting Gimli. Had the battered pickerel. Read more
